tmcmurph
http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/10/25/mariner-miffed-after-usl-coach-backs-out-deal-join-tfc “As far as we were concerned, the deal had a handshake on Thursday,” Mariner told MLSsoccer.com by phone from Torreón, Mexico, on Wednesday. “A handshake as far as we’re concerned is a done deal, but obviously not as far as he is concerned.” Ha ha ha. Maybe he talked to some TFC players like Dero & Cann about how good MLSE's "word" is on things. Too funny.
Greatest Cockney Rip Off
Someone posted this on CSN "Orlando Sports editor Mike Gramajo who covers Orlando City asked Adrian Heath why he did not take the job: Heath said: “Toronto offered a good financial deal, but their football isn’t what I wanted,” https://twitter.com/Voice_Mgramajo/s...18971565187073"

narduch
So Mariner was in charge of hiring his replacement. Its like the FO at TFC never learns. Its more of the same bs, as usual. Heath was too good a candidate to be hired as an assistant. He is probably waiting for a job as head coach. TFC looks stupid again.
Keegan
LMFAO Heath basically just reiterated what we've all been saying. Mariner is horrible. Cochrane and MLSE aren't the ones coaching the football, but MLSE are the morons who hired Mariner. Get this clown out of here before next season. This is one of the oddest decisions I've ever heard. This is equivalent to Blackburn telling Steve Kean to go find an assistant who will replace him when he's fired.
TheKottonmouthed1555362307
This is an odd turn, more FO problems for TFC. The play on the pitch will never be up to standards till the FO is straightened out.
LSM
This is equivalent to Blackburn telling Steve Kean to go find an assistant who will replace him when he's promoted to sporting director. 'Fixed that for yuh. 'Cause y'know Mariner's not getting fired. He's gonna get promoted.
MarlowT
Based on this recent news, it looks like Paul Mariner is staying and that Tom Anselmi is basically lying about a review of the TFC structure at the end of the season. Hopefully the fans respond appropriately through empty seats for 2013.
JimmyJames
Wow, even when you take the teachers out of the equation they still get it wrong. You would think with all the experts TSN and Rogers SN employee that one or two might be asked their opinion. I predict another last place finish for TFC in 2013 and see significant drop in attendance. I am a fan but stopped watching them play mid way through the season. Bring back Mo???? Razcle
Fortunately, this does not bring down the reputation of TFC, given the current state of our club. We need a house cleaning and a methodology brought in that will be successful in the MLS. This is obviously not the guy to help lead us in that direction.
