Sam
However it ended, Stephen Hart has clearly left a better team than he inherited. So I thank him for that and for having the grace to make the decision to leave himself.
Yohan
Thanks Stephen Hart for being a classy guy and doing a hard job under difficult circumstances. I hope he lands on his feet somewhere else
CUJO
He did a good job, I liked him. But he doesn't seem to be a good motivator. Thanks Stephen for the hard work.

Kusch to the Corner
Thanks Stephen Hart for being a classy guy and doing a hard job under difficult circumstances. I hope he lands on his feet somewhere else +1 I think he did an okay job, given the player pool he had to work with.
JamboAl
Unfortunately, Hart was given no choice but to leave for the sake of the Men's Program. However, an honourable and honest servant to Canadian soccer he will remain.

baulderdash77
Under Hart's leadership the program has been advanced but it's clearly untenable for him to remain with the program after the showing. Hopefully he stays on in some fashion with the CSA. Good luck in the future.
1996
He did a decent job, he was the one coach who got the team playing a more possesion on the ground soccer, he got them to stop playing the kick and run soccer of old. However, he could not get them to the Hex, and even if they had only lost by a goal last Tuesday he would of still needed to step down. Let's find some money CSA and hire a coach with more experience and a coach that has qualified a country to a World Cup. My number one choice is American Bob Bradley who is currently Egypt's head coach, if Egypt makes the World Cup then go after him as soon as Brazil 2014 is over. The Beh
Gerry Dobson @SNGerryDobson Glowing words from #CSA prez Victor Montagliani regarding the character of Hart and the dedication with which he preformed his duties. Wish I could say the same thing about Victor!!! Respect to Hart for doing the right thing. To go from coaching the King of Donair to getting us within one game of the HEX for the 1st time in 16 years just goes to show how dedicated this man was to better himself and the tremendous potential that lurks below the surface in Canadian soccer. I am absolutely saddened by the way this chapter of his career had to end and the system that set up such a humiliating end. I think he will have a great future as one of the few pioneering coaches of a Canadian Premier League, if and when we finally get that launched and until more experienced and recognized coaches start to trickle in. Canada1
A manly decision by Hart when to some degree his players let him down. Who's decision is it to play the style of game that day? HART's. Both the Coach and the players let us down. In this type of match the wrong tactics were sent to the players prior to entering on to the field and the players showed a lack of effort. killgod
Hart wasn't a bad coach and did well with what he had. Would have liked for it to work out for him and I appreciate his prompt resignation. Honestly, I'd love him at TFC.

Canada1
Like many coaches I watch them out coach themselves which does more damage. Hart tried to have his team attack in 37 degree heat in a very tough place to play and the team was dimolished from doing it. This was a very poor decision. Obinna
Thank you Stephen Hart! Classy individual who often never got enough credit! Got us to 1 point of the HEX for the first time in several campaigns. Not bad from a man who use to coach at the amateur level a decade ago. Keegan
Like many coaches I watch them out coach themselves which does more damage. Hart tried to have his team attack in 37 degree heat in a very tough place to play and the team was dimolished from doing it. This was a very poor decision. Hart made many mistakes but he definitely didn't go into the match with an attacking philosophy. The fact that we were down after 5 minutes and needed a result is why it looked like that... villus
Thank you for your service Stephen Hart. Can't say a bad word character wise of the guy, and his positives were numerous, in the end he should go down as a positive influence on the MNT.
