It would be unacceptable if any of these players took bribes. I could have a little easier time understanding threats or fear of violence or something, but if it ever came to light than any of our boys 'threw' this game for coin, then strip them of their citizenship and let them live in Honduras.

I'll go with drugged because it makes me feel better about our performance although your take is probably a whole lot more accurate.

During the 7-1 beating that our hockey team took from the Russians years ago my friends and I just kept looking at each other and asking "who spiked the water with ludes?" and "did the team doctors mix up the uppers and downers?". The same thoughts kept coming into my head yesterday. It was that bad.
