It's the reality of Canadian Soccer, dude. We're not technical proficient with the ball, can't score, shoot on target and can't create through the middle and rely on long balls in the wings. Also we don't have high calibre players playing in first team action on Top 10 World Leagues. I think more than a thorough investigation is needed, maybe refocus on training, getting competitive matches for the Men's team and rethink how the CSA operates. I'm at a loss for words today, since I never expected a shellacking. I thought we'd lose 3-1 at most.

Don't worry I'm just being sarcastic. I still can't fathom what just happened.

Yes, but even if all of this is true, what about basic defending that a team of 16 year olds understand? Even with limited talent, we should have been able to keep the score within 2, or 3, at most.

Our problem is not defending. Our problem is that kids do not grow up with the ball at their feet. We lack technical basics and shooting ability and most of all movement off the ball. It is a cultural thing and the USA has the same problem. The only difference is that they put more money into their program and as a result have better players who are essentially cut from the same cloth.

I agree with you. But I feel like what you're referring to is the bigger picture of why we are not a better team. I just meant that, today, and today only, we gave up some goals that were ridiculous ... now, maybe this is just because we simply gave up after the 3rd goal. I presume that this is the case.
