The Beaver
So what if we pull off the impossible--is it truly impossible?--and advance to the hex? Will any of the following happen: 1. Junior finally comitts to Canada 2. Jono finally decides he feels more Canadian than Dutch 3. Dero returns in the Spring with the fire of god in his bones. 4. Joshie returns in the Spring with the fire of two gods in his (mended) bones. 5. Hart consistently names 23-player rosters 6. Lucas Cavallini becomes a fixture on the team. 7. Piette becomes a fixture on the team. 8. A major sponsor steps up with a boatload of cash. 9. The Vees fill half of BMO with crazed fans. 10. Some hot young Canucks decides he feels more __________________ than Canadian. Vive le Canada!
tyler453
1. Junior finally comitts to Canada - Maybe not right away, but yes. 2. Jono finally decides he feels more Canadian than Dutch - No 3. Dero returns in the Spring with the fire of god in his bones. - He will be just as before, a great leader on the pitch 4. Joshie returns in the Spring with the fire of two gods in his (mended) bones. - He would give us better distrobution, and have a couple nice assists 5. Hart consistently names 23-player rosters - With new sponsors, I would believe so 6. Lucas Cavallini becomes a fixture on the team. - He scores a goal vs Honduras and proves himself with more goals in future fixtures 7. Piette becomes a fixture on the team. - No. He needs to get on his teams first team IMO 8. A major sponsor steps up with a boatload of cash. - Already done apparently, but wouldn't rule out another sponsor 9. The Vees fill half of BMO with crazed fans. - YES 10. Some hot young Canucks decides he feels more __________________ than Canadian. ????

theaub
Per question #2 (and I refuse to link to the article on SN because I'm sick of this crap) Veteran Canadian midfielder Julian de Guzman told Sportsnet Monday evening that his younger brother, Swansea City midfielder Jonathan de Guzman, will play for his home country should Canada earn a positive result versus Honduras. “He will be there. I can put my life on that, if we make it to the next round,” Julian de Guzman said. “He will be here. He says it. He knows it now.”

dyslexic nam
As much as I love JDG, I am not putting any faith in the words of his younger brother. I will believe it when he takes to the pitch wearing the maple leaf. Until then, my thoughts are solely on the boys who are in central america helping the cause, not those waiting to see what happens.
