Canada1
The last time Canada lost at BMO field was Sept 4, 2010 against Peru 2-0. There appeared to be a lot of Peruvians at that match. But over the recent past I have been notcing a trend of greater attendance by Canadian's and less opposing fans. I can only see this continuing if we go farther in this tournament. I know we always make a big deal about how hard it is to play away in the Southern Countries but I am sure those countries are thinking the same now by trying to come away with a possible draw at BMO Field. Tomorrow night BMO Field will come alive once again and Cuba is going to feel how tough it is in OUR HOUSE. Go Canada Go Go Voyageurs Go

Go Canada Go Go Voyageurs Go Well, we really haven't had anyone with a big monster population here. Hondo game was on a Tuesday which helped. We Mexico here, and well... that will be quite different. Canada1
Well, we really haven't had anyone with a big monster population here. Hondo game was on a Tuesday which helped. We Mexico here, and well... that will be quite different. There will always be a following by major teams such as Mexico. But the demand to support the Canadian National side is on the increase and BMO Field is becoming a more and more difficult place for opponents to run over our Mens team which was done in the past. Whats crucial this time is that we qualify for the HEX and build on more fan awareness within this country. The further we go the more and more the Country will come together to support the team. Tuscan
I think if it is possible to sequester all opposing fans, as much as possible, in the north end, then it will be a very daunting task for opposing teams. Mexico, El Salvador, Panama, and a few others might still give us issues in the stands, but for the most part, I think all the games at BMO the last few years has taken its toll on the amount of Canadian support showing up to games. Is it fair to say attendance has steadily increased for each game since the qualifiers last year?
grigorio
I don't think it really is... It may be difficult for visiting teams to get a win, but it's almost as equally difficult for us. BMO is the home of the 0-0 draw, and while not very many memorable wins come to mind, here's hoping tomorrow adds to the short list.
Keegan
I'll believe it when we have a convincing win at BMO... not including minnows.

Trillium
this. I was at the Ecuador match, and I never felt like a foreigner in my own country than I did that day. Toronto is not yet a home field advantage...intimidating scene for visiting teams. West side stands... dead, East side stands... mostly dead, north dead... as in all these areas have seats to be filled, and need fans who can join in on the most popular best... chants the V's have, we are not there yet ... but its getting close. Qualify for the hex, let the V's organize more of the stadium... i.e. have CSA realize there marketing and game day staff dont have a clue... yes Victor this means you !!! We should have for next year ( cause we are qualifying Tuesday night ) 1. Giant TIFO for each home game. 2. All stadium streamer display at end of O Canada. ( yes CSA you need to have staff assigned to field to pick up the streamers and move them to bins on sidelines, you get the green recylce ones it takes three minutes to clean up ) 3. Capos with in ear communication to co-ordinate chants ( and at least one female capo ). 4. Native drummers in concentrated area. 5. Only Canada gear .. in stadium except in caged north end area for visitors. 6. North side sucks chant....
