"best Canadian MLS team by quite a bit right now." Which is fine and wonderful for MTL, but meaningless overall. Great for their fans! But in the end all that need be observed is the standings at the end of the year.

Although I am a Vancouver fan of course, I am thrilled MTL is playing well. It's good news for all of us!

Yes being the best Canadian MLS club doesn't win them the MLS cup, it's just a statement. No need to detract. It is a Canadian soccer message board.

They're playing great, but they need a goal badly. Columbus is right behind them in the standings, with a couple of games in hand. I'm not sure if a draw is good enough tonight.

I'm not taking anything away from the Impact though. They've been really fun to follow this year. If everything stays on track, they should be a formidable side next season.

They MUST win in Chicago. The Chicago match is the end point. They lose that, season is definitely over. Too much mystery to how fixtures will finish in MLS, that honestly the league is open till the last weekend. In this case, however, I'd say if they lose in Chicago they are totally done. They should have finished tonight with 3 points after Di Vaio's goal but they failed to control the midfield in the last 15 minutes. Bernier seemed burnt by halftime, which isn't a good sign for Friday vs. Panama. Wonder if Hart will re-evaluate his involvement in the game next week.

I think it was hot out there tonight - and a tough away loss. Seems like 4 or 5 games where Montreal have lost the three points in the final 10 minutes + added time. But hey, Colombus is also a great team right now. In fact, I'd say they are looking very dangerous for the playoffs and all round better than DC, Chicago and even Red Bulls. Things are wide open in the east I'd say.

Friday weather should be more favorable for the boys.
