CanadianSoccerFan
Panama managed to create some decent chances in the first half but they've been outclassed as expected. Doesn't help they're down to
Canada1
Thanks for the link. Only saw the last 40 minutes. From what I saw Panama were outplayed by a poor performance from Portugal. The finishing was terrible. Don't understand what you achieve when you play a team like Portugal before an important match. Canada has picked a much better friendly that being Trinidad. It's all about winning at this time and building momentum and confidence. Panama is definitely beatable and anything less is not goog enough especially at home. madmonte
Right I agree. Certain people were bitching about canada playing a minnow, but really T&T isn't too bad, and it was more about getting acclimated to the conditions we will be expecting in central america. Most people on the forums knew and understood that. Portugal...maybe too much of a test? Better to get a confidence boost. Should never read too much into it though. Game by game, results can be very surprising on the international stage. The same US team that does awesome against Scotland and demolishes them one day, can get destroyed by Brazil and only tie Canada in a game they should have lost the next. You never know what can happen.
