Holland

- Hutchinson and PSV opened their season with a 3-2 away loss to 10-man Waalwijk. Atiba played 90 at right back.

Hungary

- Di Chiara's KTE played away to Debrecen. JDC not yet cleared to play.

Finland

- Riley O'Neill played 90 up front for MYPA as they beat JJK Jyväskylä 3-0

- Jonke and Trafford both played 90 as Mariehamn beat Jaro 2-0. Mariehamn in second place in the table and Jaro second from bottom.

Friendly

- Occean had two goals as his Eintracht Frankfurt beat Valencia 4-2

- QPR and the unmentionable(s) vs de Jong's Augsburg. De Jong played the second half, which is a relief as it must mean he will suit up for Canada on Wednesday:

- Jackson came off the bench in the 85th min for Norwich as they lost 2-0 vs Monchengladbach in their last pre-season tune-up.

Norway (1)

Hirschfeld and Valerenga hosting Odd Grenland. Postponed.

France (Ligue 2)

Nimes lost 2-1 away to Clermont as Al-Shaibani was on the bench.

Germany (B2)

Koln drew Sandhausen 1-1. McKenna looks to be out for the next three weeks after an ankle operation: http://www.bundesliga.de/de/liga2/news/2011/0000218659.php

Vålerenga did play Odd Grenland on Friday with Hirschfeld starting as usual in a 3-1 home win. The away side's goal was a late one and game off a deflected shot. For TFC supporters out there, Chad Barrett set up the third goal and looked useful before being dubbed out with an injury about 10 mins from the end.

Highlights of Eintracht Frankfurt game against Valencia:

Lol, if games were decided by the beauty of goals, I think EF might have lost that one.

I wonder if OO's first wasn't the silliest goal he's scored in a while, good job to keep his hands out of the way AND

stay onside for the second ball in both, a detail often over-looked at all levels, but one valuable to be in the habit of.

Jordan Santiago played 90 for a Portsmouth XI in a 2-1 defeat vs Salisbury. As reported in the MOACA thread, he is on trial there after training with West Ham for a couple of weeks.

Sweden Allsvenska (tier 1) - AIK 3 - Örebro 0. Neither Kenny nor Tomer saw action. Örebro SK is last in the league. Their current keeper Sandqvist stumbling on a couple of the goals today, Chensinski might get another shot soon. AIK has a FIFA break to prepare for a Aug 23 date with CSKA Moscow in Europa League.

Sweden Superetta (tier 2) - Assyriska FF 1- Hammarby IF 1. Ledgerwood played 90 in central mid. Good distribution but Hammarby had a hard time in the final 1/3. They got lucky on a dream shot, the final of the game, which salvaged the tie. Nik now heads off to Florida to join the national team.

Hammarby will not promote this year. Remind me why he is playing at such a low level again? At least people can replace the complaints about Romanian second tier with Swedish second tier when it comes to suspect MNT call-ups for the next year or so.

They likely won't but Hammarby is a pretty big club, Ledgerwood is a player of limited skill. The level is like A-League esque.

Shows how much better our players are getting though...remember the days when a guy heading to Div 2 Norway or Sweden was a big deal?
