TheKottonmouthed1555362307
Eric Hassli also waiting results of an MRI after a negative X-Ray, after taking a knock late to his right ankle landing awkwardly after a fine header. Stayed in the game but was limping noticeable, and had a walking cast on today. A huge blow to TFC though, Such bad timing as well.

TFC doesn't have another striker in Danny's class or even the class below him. Wiedeman looks like an NASL player at best, not that he was expected to do much anyway hopefully we don't have to watch him too much this season. Soccerpro
Danny K is TFC, period. When he scores, they aren't horrible, when he doesn't score they are horrible. They're left up front with nothing. (Ryan Johnson isn't a forward, don't try to convince me otherwise). I said at the start of the season they're thin up front, now get ready to see it. shermanator
TFC need to look past this injury and continue to shore up their back line. The season is a wash anyways, so while Koevermans loss is huge, they weren't making the playoffs with him either.
shawn_strat
Huge blow to the team. It means that Montreal will finish higher in the standings in their first season (lol)
Scottie
Who's gonna be the first to throw Rob Friend or Ali Gerba's name out there? Oh, I guess its me. TFC should try to sign one of these guys. What has TFC got to lose by going after them? Maybe some guaranteed playing time is exactly what they need to get their careers back on track. madmonte
Someone pointed out in another thread that Ali Gerba is being paid by IMFC right now. So they'd probably have to offer him more than IMFC is paying him to sit at home and gain weight losing fitness. Speaking of weight, did anyone else notice that Danny K seemed to be losing 5 pounds a week on average? Man, just early June I was criticizing his fitness, and before he hurt his knee I was due to point out that Mariner must have been on him too, or he read a blogsite cutting his fat ass down and cried, cuz the boy I think legitimately lost 20 pounds of bad weight from end of May to last week. Was actually pretty proud of him for it (not that he'd care, not knowing who the hell I am), but I was anyways! You could tell...his runs were REALLY sharp, sharper than ever in that game till he blew his knee. At first I thought he was overdoing it a bit, I didn't see his knee twist up...then he stayed down. Then the stretcher came out. Then he got subbed. Boy was I wrong. Wouldn't be the first time!
Cheeta
Season from Hell. The Guz traded out and Koeverman's done for the season, talk about freeing up cap space. Anyway, best of luck to the man. Sports injury medicine has come a long, long, way but he ain't no spring chicken, this is still a very serious injury. Would be the wrong way to go out of the game. Free kick
Season from Hell. The Guz traded out and Koeverman's done for the season, talk about freeing up cap space. . The Kouvermans' injury wont free up cap space though. That is from what i keep hearing.
tmcmurph
Eric Hassli to TFC! I guess with Kov out for the remainder of the season with injury they need another big man up front as that is the style they play whereas the Whitecaps have switched since Rennie took over to a speed based offense. Makes sense from both points of view but still sad to see him go. He can definately do the role and is hard for defenses to handle. Best description I've ever seen of him is "the body of a MMA fighter with the feet of a ballerina". Here is hoping he scores a bunch for you and gets you past Philly so they are last place in the league (disclaimer: Caps have Philly's first round draft pick). WheatsheafSK
Apparently TFC got what it could out of Koevermans. He has officially retirement due a calf injury. After TFC waited out his contract, he return to the Netherlands, signed with Eredivisie side Utrecht and lasted approx. six weeks before injury took him out permanently: http://www.vi.nl/nieuws/koevermans-stopt-per-direct-met-profvoetbal.htm He was a great performer for TFC, with a great goal vs. games played average. A true goal scorer - which is a very rare breed for TFC.
