RJB
Clearly UEFA/FIFA is more interested in protecting advertisers than it is about protecting players: "The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) has been fined 80,000 euros for the setting-off and throwing of fireworks, and the improper conduct of supporters (racist chants, racist symbols) at the Uefa Euro 2012 Group C match against Italy in Poznan on Thursday, 14 June." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18461087 Denmark's Nicklas Bendtner has been banned for one match and fined 100,000 euros (£80,000) by Uefa for his goal celebration against Portugal. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18443469 What a shame that players knew this would happen, and then receive no support from the federation. Too bad Balotelli didn't walk off like he said he would, because I would have supported that. Too bad the referee didn't stop the match like Platini said they would, because I would have supported that too.
alberta white
It's all about the money. Principles are irrelevant to hogs. Bendtner will get his come-upance when the UK's Taxman goes looking for the compensation he got from Paddy Power hits his bank account!
