A closed door friendly in Europe against the 120th ranked team in the world...they really showed us their on the ball.

Well, it's not nothing.

We have to wait and see what happens over the next few months before everyone commits Seppuku

Sure. But it's been pretty frustrating watching the teams we want to compete with announce decent friendlies in the last week (US-France, Ireland, Paraguay. Costa Rica- Scotland, England, Tunisia. Panama- Switzerland, Norway, Denmark. El Salvador v Honduras) while we have a glorified scrimmage against what will likely be the New Zealand B team.

I'm not expecting us to announce Germany or anything, but I don't think top 80 team in hostile environment is too much to ask.

I would love to see the revenue for these programs in comparison to ours.

I did forget to include the following positive achievement during Mt. Vic's tenor as president of the CSA:

May 5, 2012 - Victor Montagliani elected president of CSA.

http://www.sportsnet.ca/soccer/montagliani-elected-csa-president/

April 19, 2013 - Columbus FC, Mt. Vic's club, gets inducted into The Soccer Hall of Fame as the Organization of Distinction.

The facts speak for themselves. The Victor Montagliani era can be summed up as the most disappointing chapter in the history of the CSA, as in the end he accomplished sweet fuck all for soccer in Canada. Although personally, he didn't fare too badly from the experience. Shame on you, Victor.

Sounds a lot more like Hart. Victor Montagliani's markers would be things like infrastructure, business wins and losses, relationships, financial health, national stature and domestic growth of the game. Success of all our programs including women's and youth is the lesser part of his legacy.

Yes, we have all come to love Mt. Vic's infrastructure, haven't we?

I generally agree with all the postings above. The question I would pose is will Victor have the balls to fire Hart and bring someone that can guarantee success. Hart will have to be fired sooner or later unless he pulls out a rabbit out of the hat and get us to Brasil 2014. If Victor is going to hang onto Hart forever, like the CSA did with Mitchell and Pellerud, then nothing really would have changed.

Well, we finally have that man who has guaranteed success, however, I still firmly believe that actions speak louder than words, don't you?
