Which CNT striker would you like to see start scoring?

Looking at Canada's striking options, only Occean is having a really great season. You could say Jackson's season has been a success since it is his first in the Premier League, but he has only 2 league goals. Hume is doing alright, but is in the 3rd tier.

So, the question is, which CNT striker would you like to see hit a rich vein of form and start scoring some goals for their club ahead of our crucial WCQ matches this summer?

Rob Friend

Simeon Jackson

Iain Hume

Tosaint Ricketts

Ali Gerba (finds a club and starts scoring!)

Marcus Haber

Randy Edwini-Bonsu

Umm. Can I vote for all of them?

Friend is more likely to hit a rich vein in his arm with a needle than of form. REB I guess.

This is a strange thread because we all want the program to succeed. One goalscorer alone doesn't make the team and it would be great to have options not only in striker position but in defence and midfield as well.

The more, no matter who, the merrier.

Well obviously I want every CNT player to be as successful as possible, but strategically, IF you could choose one player to really start playing well who would you choose and why?

Just discussion fodder...

I like the way Tosaint Ricketts plays. He is the type of player that excites the game. Being relegated to such a wide position is a poor coaching decision when you don't have players in the middle who can finish his service. The coach is wasting his talent. Put him where he can produce all by himself and let him develop there.

You have to forget about Ali Gerba. His career is at twilight if not over. It looks like we have a few young strikers that are developing nicely and hopefully a couple of them will break through in this WCQ round.

But he is only 30 and his strike rate for Canada is awesome...

Definitely gotta go with REB, he looked awesome on the right vs. the USA I wonder what he could have done for the rest of the tournament. A guy like him adds a whole other dimension to our game, just like Tos with his speed but REB offers more technical ability. We need players like him who can run at defenses with the ball, our game right now is too slow and only Simpson offers us that right now.

Another thing about REB .. when he got that red for dissent or whatever it was for, ya, it was a dumbhead move, but he showed he has fire in his belly.

Hume has been scoring, hasn't he?. The other guys? It'd be nice to see Jackson get some more minutes and have a surge... It's likely too, given his track record and abilities. REB too. I think he'll probably get some playing time soon and he's another guy that has shown some pretty good skill finding the back of the net. He's a safe pick

Not a forward per say but I really hope we start to see Simpson putting up the numbers with Young Boys that he did with Manisaspor. He is a guy who has to be on his best form if we have any chance of qualifying.

+1 (as long as he commits)

-1000 if it is anyone other than Canada

-1000 if he does not commit to anyone

That's the problem I have when I watch him play, I'm not sure whether I want to see him continue to play well or whether I want someone to crunch him with a season ending tackle!
