Uccello and Janssen in Minnesota?

The official site only has 15 squad members....

http://mnstarsfc.com/team/2011-roster/

You will note only 1 GK listed on that squad.

That being said the listed roster does not have confirmed signings Ibrahim, Chin, or Tobin. (which equals 18 but just 1 GK). Also doesn't list additional signings Hildebrandt (GK), Vegenas, or Sassano.

Interestingly/concerning is that neither Janssen nor Uccello were part of the Stars squad v. FCE on April 2 - http://mnstarsfc.com/2012/04/stars-down-fc-edmonton-in-final-preseason-game/

Too much cost or can't get appropriate work permits? I know BigBird was discussing that he wasn't right for the team (and not happy about it - obviously).

BigBird suggested JU go to Italy again....but why not give FCE a call...or one of the USL Pro teams?

Minessota would have been right for him. I can see him scoring tons of goals there and so did he> but they where not looking for that type of striker I guess nothing you can do move on..

I can suggest all I want but Its ultimately his decision he feels he will find a team here or there but USL or NASl or MLS......would be better suited for him right now it the least a try at it. I hope he will be seen by then

It seems every team needs a goal scorer right now something will open.

Bigbird,

Has Julian's agent given the Montreal Impact a call? This week, they have a Nigerian striker, who last played in Egypt on trial. Surely they can give Julian a look at.

Might be worth it, to network through Peter Pinizzotto who knows Nick DeSantis very well.

Great idea, especially considering how sad the Impact look up front. Uccello could really help.

Minnesota scoreless in their two games and winless, FCE Edmonton also winlesss and scorelesss TFC winless and scoreless with 100 chances, Montreal could always use some help up front I think, even thou in second last place,

ALL TEAMS HAVE BEEN CONTACTED BY HIS AGENT AND FRIENDS OF FRIENDS, NON REQUIRE A NATURAL GOAL SCORER THAT KNOWS HOW TO PUT THE BALL IN THE NET.....or at the very least give him trial. and money had nothing to do with it in Minessotta he was willing to take a huge cut compared to what he was making in Italy just to prove himself.... It's been frustrating for him after 10 years of outside the country and now wanting to come back and no job. No trial, and not considered

but yet they invite others into camps for trials even as of this week for trials ......

Following this as closely as possible. Seems odd. Vancouver Caps have no room up front but surely the other groups do???

It angers me that the Montreal Impact have no problem to invite a Nigerian Striker that has trialled at 5 or 6 MLS clubs with no success, and yet don't have the time to take a look at a young CANADIAN striker, with extensive experience playing in Europe???

This club clearly needs help up front. Corradi is playing as a front man, alone most times, but he no longer has the legs to play this position. He is at his best using his size and strength to provide holding support. Julian would be an ideal strike partner, to feed off Corradi's holds.

Hopefully somebody, somewhere wakes up and gives this kid a real shot at earning a spot.

Maybe TFC is still feeling the Andrea Lambardo pains and put's Julian's level on par with the former TFC striker

Sorry I do not see similaritiesties of these two players actually, if anything very different from each other from results and games played both in In Italy the amout of time spent in Italy and with the MNT. If you look at their record on wiki is without doubt sugget they are different career paths as proof . For what ever reasons TFC selected him is not of my concerns if a mistakes or not is neither for me. These things it does happen at times and it just did not work out for him as it did for TFC oh well.

But your suggesting of TFC not wanting to even have a look at little bird becasue of it and or not to give a trial to Littlebird is even more ridiculousious based on a the Lombardo experience.

These are two two players both different carreers and path one playing in more national team games then in the league play and the other no appeareance and tons of league play with results approx played over 135 games appereance in the 10 years with 85 goals is a tough record for any Canadian to match . specially with no appearneace at a youth level.

Has Julian received calls from anyone (no need to name the club(s))?

Could he go the route of Edwini-Bonsu and sign in Scandinavia? There is a good number of Canadians having gone through Finland onto decent teams (see Chenchinski, Bonsu etc.....)

He has so far one team asking him to come back in the next market which opens in July. However he really wants to remain here where he can be close to his family and friends trying for the chance with any trials but no luck at all. He has learned the reputation and respect with many c1 team but unless it higher then that he will not prefer to go back in this it is a c1 team always trying
