nolando
- Ricketts played the first 58 minutes of Poli Timsoara's scoreless draw with Alba. Poli remian in first place by a single point. - No Issey at all for Brisbane Roar in their 3-2 semi-final league play-off victory over Central Coast. He must be almost a free man at this point. - Klukowski is injured and was spared involvement in Manisaspor's 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Galatasaray. Alex_K
Bundesliga 2 action: REB on the bench as Braunschweig tied Dresden 2-2. The result (8th draw in the last 9 games, I actually missed one last week) also means that Eintracht is now mathematically save from relegation too. Randy will probably get at least one start in the last few games of the season, the coach has already started to test various new line-ups (last week Pierre Merkel, who like REB will probably play a bigger role as a forward next season, got his first start and did quite well, so one of the next games should be Randy's turn). Not to pat myself on the back too much or anything ... but REB got the start versus Fürth today. Game ended 0:0 (how novel, a draw). He was involved in a few chances, and subbed out in the 63rd with a slight injury. Probably nothing serious. Occéan went 90 and didn't do much of note. Alex_K
Article on Randy's first start: Somehow he had already expected it. His first start in the game against Greuther Fürth wasn't that much of a surprise for Randy Edwini-Bonsu. After the game in Dresden coach Torsten Lieberknecht had already told him, that he could expect to play this week, the forward says. "I'm very happy, that I got the chance as a starter this time." And it's a chance the bustling forward, whom will turn 22 next week, definitely knew how to use. The Canadian with Ghanaian roots ran a lot, and had two big chances. "I had too acore on both of them", Edwini-Bonsu admits self-critical. During the first chance, after a good cross from Dennis Kruppke, his right shoe was simply two sizes too small to get to the ball. And during the second chance he slipped when trying to shoot, after he had gone past Fürth's center back Thomas Kleine with a nice backheel. Those two missed chances will probably "haunt him a few more days", the Eintracht player expects. He had to be subbed out after roughly 60 minutes. "A cramp", the first-time-starter says in German and points to his calf. http://www.braunschweiger-zeitung.de/sport/eintracht/edwini-bonsu-selbstkritisch-haette-zwei-tore-machen-muessen-id636719.html

Tough luck for Vaslui as they had every chance to win it. The first and third goal especially are suspect from Borjan's perspective, but the second was just well taken. Oranje
Not a canadian per-se but Koln axed Solbakken. On Tuesday’s Footy Show, Sharman asked an anglophone Bundesliga pundit about McKenna. He stated that McKenna was used primarily to close out games and did not start as Solbakken used a “Kamikaze” style of zonal marking which didn’t use McKenna’s strengths. Hopefully the managerial switch will get McKenna back into the starting XI

But I'm not sure Big Kev would have done any better with a different manager; time will tell.
