B2 action

Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 Bochum (Friend on the bench). 20 min.

Eintracht Brauschweig 0-0 Paderborn (REB is on the bench). 20 min

I'd be surprised if Kicker had it wrong (they list Randy as being on the bench) but shouldn't Randy be in Kansas City? Or is he suspended for the Mexico match and thus went back to his club?

He probably went back to Germany when he learned that his tournament was over.

Both REB and Rob Friend didn't play today.

He came back immediately after the suspension was announced. The 6th draw in the last 7 games now. I like draws as much as the next guy, a different result in one of the next games would be kind of cool, though.

Haidar Al-Shaibani played in another Nimes match, a 1-1 league draw with Orleans that earned them sole possession of second place in France's third-tier National League.

Jordan Webb scored two goals for Hougang as they beat Woodlands Wellington 3-1 in Singapore. He has five goals over the first seven games of the season.

Romania

Ricketts came into the match in the 80th min with the goals already scored as Timisoara beat FC Olt 2-1. Headline reads "Win Means Nothing. Future Hangs by a Thread" With the subtext translating as,

"For players and coaching staff following a week that will see what will happen to the future of this team. Currently there are only two options: the team will disband, or will find a solution for that last second even Poli championship concludes this edition."

Turkey

Klukowski sat out injured for second-from-bottom Manisaspor's 3-0 loss to Genclerbirligi.

Every pro player would have done the same - there was a league game to play after all.

Jorgo Nika actually got a (small) headline on Eintracht's website today - he scored a hattrick for the U-19. There's still a chance that the U-19 will be promoted to the Bundesliga, so it's nice to see that he's added something to the team.

Justin maheu scored today in a 2-1 defeat of Fortuna Dusseldorf II.

Olivier Occéan also scored in B2 in a 3-0 win for Furth.

OO missed a PK when the game was 0-0 but assisted on Furth first goal a minute later.

OO is now alone at the top of the B2 scorers and also top the league for points with 26 (17 goals and 9 assists) in 27 games.

Furth are now 9 pts clear of the third place (Fortuna Dusseldorf lost today). They are almost guarantee of promotion.

Occean is doing it all, scoring and playmaking. I honestly hope he sticks with Furth as he is an automatic starter for them and one of if not their most important player.

Maheu seems to be getting consistent playing time with Dusseldorf II. I hope he can gradually climb the latter with them.
