Admin
Some info on seating for World Cup Qualifying. We now have effectively three kinds of seating options. The intention of the three types is to allow supporters to more effectively bring people out to games by giving them options beyond the madness. You now have a safe place to deposit parents, grandparents or people with kids. These family sections will be available to us at the same price as our regular tickets. 1. Hard Core: Standing, Singing, Capos, Flags and general madness. Canada gear only. 2. Supporters: Standing, Singing 3. Family: Sit down affair with tea and cookies. The hard core section is just that. No one should buy tickets here unless they know what they are getting into. These sections will not be on sale to the public. They will be sold through a private area of the forum and directly to all supporter groups across the country. 112, 113, 114: Hard core section. Standing, flags, Singing ect.... and effectively GA. 115, 116, 118: Standing 117: Reserved - Voyageurs secret operations network 219 & 220: Family sections. If anyone has not watched a game from here, let me tell you these are really good seats.
Sam
Voyageurs secret operation network? Looks good though, hopefully we can pack 112-114 like we did for the St. Lucia game when it was absolutely rocking.

Olympique_de_Marseille
...seating for World Cup Qualifying. We now have effectively three kinds of seating options. Does this seating arrangement also apply for the USA friendly? and will tickets be sold the same way/same time as for the WCQs? VSON buddy @Sam I guess we don't have the necessary Voyageur security clearance to learn more about the VSON. I'm going to start wild and necessary speculation that the section is for some secret society within the V's.

The only game I care about is Honduras. The reserved section is for Don'tPanic.

Tuscan
Do you or or 4-year old care about the kind of language and alcohol consumption that happens in 113? If not, then keep it going the way it was.
GoalieGrey
Went to my second MNT game in 113, and I don't know if I, personally, could be anywhere else now that I've experienced it, but I love the idea of having three different sections. I hope my buddies know what they're getting into haha

Free kick
1. Hard Core: Standing, Singing, Capos, Flags and general madness. Aren't there FIFA rules that prohibit flags? Then again maybe not. I am all for the general madness but waving flags during the run the of play? hmm, well hopefully people will have the courtesy to wait until after a goal or before and after the initial and final whistles. People are there to see the game foremost and it cant be more annoying to people than to have your view obstructed by a waving flag. No matter how much we love the flag. baulderdash77
I sat in 114 for the St. Lucia game. During the 2nd half we had to go to the north end to help spice up that area too. It was a great soccer game to have fun at. My 6 year old wants to watch some games this year so we may sit in the family area a few times this season though. Missed the Puerto rico game. Thats it. Every other intermational match involving canada (be it senior team or U20 team) over the past five years, i was there. For those matches i am almost always on the front row. And thats one of the reasons why i take that spot. Its annoying to have follow the game with the giant sized flags obstructing the view and i noticed this for a tfc game last year where someone was waving the flag during the the action a couple of rows down. You are always in front row as well so you might not be able to appreciate how frustrating it is to dodge your head while trying to follow the play. Edit. Missed also the Peru friendly now that i thinking about it.

Why do you go to the supporters sections if that is how you feel about flags and other types of support that aim at building atmosphere and helping the team at the expense of being able to watch the game in an analytical fashion? elmateo
Unfortunately my time out of the country will continue for these qualifying matches, but it is great to see 'control' over these seats expand and the GA title being clearly outlined. Having to deal with a baffoon who comes to you with a ticket saying "this is my seat" splitting you and your buddies up, when there is space further up for watching the match, is just stupid. Wanted this seat? Show up earlier! This okay, cause make 'um feel uncomfortable by singing and jumping and yelling anyways (any baffoon who wants a seat# usually is not really 'secure' with the idea of being loud). I've wondered about this, but why are the hard-core supporters not behind the goal? To my mind the sound travels better from there and the visibility of the supporters is better... does it have to do with TFC supporters locations? Have there been lots of discussions about this? Bully
I am coming to T.O for the Panama game. Never been to a game, I have two bros who can get equally rowdy as myself. Should I put my parents and sister in the family section and bring the boys to the h-core section?
hamiltonfan
^don't sell your sister short...sure she could do a fine job waving a massive flag. but when are we expected to be able to purchase tickets? we should get the supporters ticket info out to the 2000+ followers of the Canada Soccer facebook page. Never been to a game, I have two bros who can get equally rowdy as myself, aged 17-22 myself being 17. Should I put my parents and sister in the family section and bring the boys to the h-core section? Well it's up to them. People will be standing, jumping, singing the whole time. The hard core section is supposed to be that, hard core. They could go to the family section and if they decide it's something they like come there next game... ? It has to do with TFC supporters in that the same choice was made for the same reason. BMO has a large accessible seating area directly behind the south goal. The seats there are much further from the pitch. It extends from 114 right over to 116.
elmateo
Right, makes sense! The south stand needs to be remodeled. "accessible seating" must not have the best of views, and would be nice to get (modern) GA standing section behind the goal. I hope the SFA makes advances on getting standing sections into Celtic Park... Germany has managed to have safe standing sections. And at least for qualifying matches FIFA does not seem to mind terraces (as long as you make spots for buts?) from my experience of South American stadiums for national games.
