I think it's good that you also have historic links to track the approval rating trend over time.

Oh, don't get me started. I've now put up a graph in the last poll, summarizing the results from the previous three. Will update this thread again once voting is finished.

Two and a half months ago at the end of the first round of WCQ I would have said moderately disapprove, but with a bit of time to look at things in perspective I'd say moderately approve. I mean all in all the results of 2011 were not THAT bad. Part of it is just that we've played way more games than we are used to. The amount of preparation we will have had come June 8th is way more than we had leading into the 2008 qualifiers. We know where this team stands and what it has to do to qualify, whereas in 2008 we clearly had no idea how far away the team really was from being good enough and a lot of that came from having little preparation.

I genuinely think the team has gotten better under Hart, and that the results coming up in the summer will be better than they were in 2008 under Mitchell.

I strongly approve of Hart still. He has experimented with this side, with players, and has tried to create a system that our players can use to win games. The blips against St. Kitts and Puero Rico ended up not costing us. He has gone to great lengths to find players for the program, and his latest efforts to bring in JDG2 could prove massively rewarding, assuming things fall into place and Jono dons Red and White at some point this year. Even if the JDG2 situation doesn't pan out (please god have mercy) he still pursued it to the ends of the earth.

Honestly, what more can we ask of a national manager who has so few resources to work with? You guys make it sound like we should be leaders of CONCACAF rather than fighting our way into the top 6. Making it to the Hex will be a big ask, but I believe it can be done under Hart.

With the talent we have I don't think it's a big ask for us to comfortably win games against nations like St. Kitts and Puerto Rico. The USA beat Panama away with a squad less talented than ours and they are complaining about the performance! We need to expect more if we want to go anywhere.

Disagree.

The USA squad that beat Panama recently may be MLS based, but there were alot of good players there, and the following would either be starters for us, or certainly be in consideration: Shea, Bunbury, Feilhaber, Parkhurst, Cameron, Wondolowski, Pearce, DeLAGarza. In addition, Jones (Shalke) and Clark (Frankfurt) played for them as well, with Jones in particular having a standout preformance. To call that team less talented than ours is a bit of a stretch, I think it would be more fair to say they would be near equivalent.

I do agree however that we need to continue to raise expectations and demand better results. The GC was very unfortunate, as were the results to the minnows, but we had a pretty challenging group in GC so I can excuse that. We can't advance every time. As for the minnows in WCQ, some times things do not go our way. PR bunkered and St. Kitts had their backs against the wall. To me it was more important how we reacted in the following game, a 4-0 victory.

I gave Hart moderately agree BTW. I think he is good for the group.

I voted mderately disapprove! Hopefully the results against the minnows and to some extent the GC were a result of Hart experimenting and pushing a style to the players that will be effective in the heat of the next round as some posters believe! Getting JD2 and Hoillet on the field will make him a much better coach!

After setting up the poll for July 2012, here are the summarized results for the previous polls:

I vote moderately approve. With the types of talent we have, I don't necessarily agree with the formations he's running. I'd like to see something more like a 4-2-3-1. We are too strong with attacking mid and weak out wide except our fullbacks. I think using guys like DeRo out wide is wasteful...

I can't remember was the June 2011 approval rating before or after the Gold Cup?

Actually, during, but mostly before; results got a little worse after Canada's exit. Bad timing decision on my part, won't happen again.
