In Italy Julian Uccello has requested a outright release of his contract from Crotone. With real no movement on Crotone part to utilize him in these difficult times of the team situation of moving any forwards off the team he feels its time to move on and is expected to get his release prior to the market closing of Jan 31st, 2012. Even thou that has been request from very few c1 and c2 he really has had enough and not interested in playing in Italy any further. He will be returning home take his chances outside of Italy as the situation in the market is very poor on movement of players C1 and 2nd divison.

He has done his share of work this past 10 years its time he feels he can offer a lot more outside of Italy. His agent will looking for a team hopefully having his wishes sooner then later.

I will keep you to date on his progress till then no further news out of Italy on Little Bird for sure.

Interesting is he thinking MLS or another European country?

Well nothing interesting at all with 7 attackers and one spot open says it all. Plus even thou they appearthey are still searching for another attacker does hold well with Julian. Yes he is done Italy will get a release and is looking towards mls or another country but never back to Italy ps contract issue and delys putting him out for 6 months

For no reasons justified.

So I hope I have answered your question

I think he'll expect to play in MLS or Europe, NASL shouldn't be an option because he's ambitious.. not that players there aren't ambitious its just that he's 25.

One thing expectations and ambitions the other possibility. 28 games in NASL and 2-4 against MLS clubs. That should do it. One playing year for FC Edmonton will be much better than one year of moving from club to the club. I know I don't have to say that, but the best training is not going to replace playing time. Beside that, we don't know if Julian will get starting positon in MLS/Europe.

One year playing for FCE will be better than one year moving from club to club? Lol

There are so many teams in Europe, he can get a starting spot somewhere at a higher level than NASL

FWIW, Haber will be on TV (in replay) later tonight, He started and played the first 68 minutes before coming out with St.J down 2-1. They lost 3-2 with BBC only mentioning Haber once in their report:

"Marcus Haber should have done better with close-range header that flew over the crossbar."

Jackson just subbed into Norwich's 1-1 tie with West Brom in the FA Cup (65'). He SCORES the go ahead goal in the 85th min. Showtime! "Simeon Jackson finds the back of the net with a goal from inside the area to the bottom left corner of the goal." How to get this guy (and Simpson) in front of goal for Canada?

2-1 FINAL! Congratulations, Simeon!

2-1 FINAL! Congratulations, Simeon!

Good to see that Simeon has made it into the forward rotation for Paul Lambert. All of these guys seem to score goals and usually when they come off the bench! Their forwards all have shown well this season so its not like Simeon was sitting behind complete bums, he's taken his chances lately and has as always scored some very important goals.

- Alex Marello picked up some more minutes for Veendam in their 2-0 loss to FC Eindhoven. He came into the game (his fourth appearance of the season) in the 69th minute with both goals already long scored (4' and 7'). Veendam are second bottom, five points out of the only relegation spot in Holland's second tier.

- Martin John played the first half of a preseason match with FC Dallas beating Houston Baptist 5-1: http://www.fcdallas.com/news/2012/01/match-recap-fc-dallas-5-houston-baptist-1

FWIW, Dallas's coach recently made the following comments on Martin John, defender

"Hyndman: Martin’s a player that was playing in Champions League in England last year and we brought him in as a left back so we’re looking at him a little bit. Got a real extensive background, very comfortable on the ball, good one-v-one defender, he’s doing well."

Kassel 2 - 2 Braunschweig (Edwini-Bonsu)

Edwini-Bonsu didn't play. Eintracht mostly played with players coming back from injury, players who didn't play regularily recently and a few reserve players mixed in.

However, Canadian trialist Fabrice Lassonde played for Kassel.
