Sam
Do we have any word on possible TV coverage for this tournament yet?
Soccerpro
Honestly, is Canada even going to name a roster or are we just going to get a press release the day after the tournament from the CSA saying we got knocked out and failed to qualify. alex36
After 10 starts in with no losses in pre season, italian cup and league games with Valanzana calcio, they opted to go with 24 year old Italian keeper. This didn't sit well with Genoa CFC and they sent Roberto to Paganese Calcio at end of january 2012. Today Roberto tied 1-1 against 4th place team in only his second start of the season for Pagani. The previous start 2 weeks earlier, resulted in 2-0 loss and 4 stitches in collision with striker. He remained in the game till the end. Starting again, proving yourself to new staff and italian mentality of limited play time for youth, is always a challenge. He continues to train and play well when called upon and just waits for his moments. He hasn't heard from Canada regarding U23 to this point and probably won't. Guess they opt for kids grown and visible in there own backyards of Edmonton, Vancouver and Toronto FC. His last appearance was with in U20 camp but unfortunatley got injured prior to cup qualifiers and couldn't attend. I know Fonseca hasn't seen Roberto in over 2 years and might be interested in seeing him against what ever keepers he has, if the true interest is in bringing best kids available. Guess money and scouts are lacking in Canadian soccer. If he is called, Roberto would be proud to represent the country as always, and still takes the flak for being Canadian in europe proudly. Teams are paid for playing italian kids over foreigners, so starts are few when the club gets little for his being on the field. They are compensated by Genoa CFC if he plays a certain amount of games. This is not intended for any other purpose than to update the board of his progress and is now in his 6th season in europe. The dream continues, and we thank all on the board for their support of the Canadian dream!
ThiKu
Thanks Alex. The issue isn't just calling players but clubs releasing them. Olympic Quals are not FIFA events so clubs have no requirement to release players. Roberto Stillo is a player we'd all love to see TBH. Similar to Santiago. We have a few GK out there none of us have seen. Including Chenchinski who is now mid-20's and playing at a decent level (recent move).

Free kick
http://www.canadasoccer.com/canada-m23-to-face-trinidad-and-tobago-p149511 Olympic team to play T & T in preparatory match. Roster to be named and released next week. Camp will run from March 13-19. Edit.: i just noticed that: they stated the the team will be named in approximately one week. Yet, the camp starts in exactly one week. So this suggested, that they are still not sure of what they have or who will be available and likely because there is a tug of war with the clubs. Guest soccer1
Don't know if you are still tracking weekly all players in every country, however, adjust your records on Andrew Kliment{1991}. He is no longer at FK Bohemians Praha, but has joined a leading 1st League Team in Slovakia, called MFK Dolny Kubin. In Slovakia, the "epl" equivalent is so called Corgon Liga and their 1st League is the second division... He undertook this step in order to regularly play and start with the First Team, their league starts this upcoming weekend. The Club has plans to be in Corgon Liga within a year.Currently they are 3rd in the League{first two advance}.

tarnado1555362291
looks like they had trouble with releases from Europe, only two players, Haber and Thomas, released from European clubs.

Soccerpro
The roster is a bit disappointing but not unexpected given that clubs weren't under nay obligation to release players. Is Phillipe Davies or Attakora training with a club now? I know Attakora was in Scotland... Surprised with the exclusion of Emery Welsham from Oregon Sttate and Allando Matheson or UCONN. No Fisk or Clarke for the Caps? No Ethan Gage(release issues?) The core of the team seems to be the very underwhelming u20 team from last year. gator
No Straith, Stillo or Aleman? No Ashtone Morgan, a surprise for me because all indications were that the club were going to release him, Haber there is a pleasant surprise!

jpg75
That is a very young team. So no Stillo or JLL in net, no Straith or Morgan on D, no Gage or JDC in midfield (Lam too, but he's injured?) and no REB up top. I wonder if Fonseca called Ethan Finley to see if he was interested? Keegan
It's a ****ing joke that Ashtone Morgan isn't there. TWO years in a row now that TFC have held him back... OH, but you can bet that every god damn yank star MLS player will be released yet we can't have our ONE starter in MLS?!?
youllneverwalkalone
I could be wrong, but didn't a few players fly in last time around right before the matches? REB, Straith, DiChaira and Morgan could still be part of the set-up if this is the case.

Unlikely, especially for those players who are regular starters or somewhere near.
