Jaime Peters was mentioned the other day in an article about Keano weighing offers for one of Ipswich's senior players. Could be Peters as he is mentioned as not being a solution to their ongoing RB woes and he hasn't played regular football in ages now.

The Blues manager says offers have been received and that it’s a potential short-term switch which is receiving most attention: “More the loan offer we have at the moment for one of our senior players.

“We might have to do that, it depends. If I’m after a certain signing where the player we’re after is only a loan deal, we have to balance the books with the wages. I think I said that last summer as well, which is why we missed out on one or two senior players.”

The Blues boss has outlined his targets and says he has two or three specific names he wants to join the club, ideally on a permanent basis: “We certainly need another striker into the club, Connor Wickham’s had a lot of injuries and another of our strikers, Rory Fallon, is only on loan and that expires in a few weeks.

“With Gianni getting called back, we’ve had players doing a job for us at right-back, whether it was Troy Brown or Jaime Peters, but these boys aren’t right-backs.

This is a year old, it mentions Keane as the manager who got sacked last January. It also states Wickham is at the club and that Rory Fallon is on loan there, as well as saying zuiverloon just got recalled. That and at the top it says 31 Dec 2010 ;)

Nolando, I think your position supplying reliable information for CSIS is in jeopardy. Don't fear though, I hear the CIA are looking for some guys to supply them with false information about weapons programs in countries they want to go to war with and they pay better than CSIS does anyway! ;)

In an effort to redeem myself in some small way, I offer this quoted text from an Ipswich fan forum (in reference to Jaime's teammate, midfielder Grant Leadbitter) which, although not insightful in terms of the potential future of Jaime Peters, is revealing in its own right:

I spent my time watching Leadbitter like a hawk to form a proper opinion on whether he really is as bad as I thought, or if he's one of those work hard in the background kind of fellows.

All I managed to draw from this experiment was that he is king of the sideways pass. Time after time after time, he'd get the ball and leg it horizontally across the field and offload it. I then started to judge the distance he traveled each time, and reckon you could draw a line across the pitch 5 feet from the position he receives the ball, and neither he or it will cross it. That's roughly the length of one Jaime Peters.

Anyway, this lead me to my final hypothesis, that at the minimum allowed pitch length (100 yards) it'd take a team of Leadbitters 60 passes to travel from one touchline to the other. I then spent the remainder of the game picturing 60 Jaime Peters' laid head to toe, like some sort of Canadian midget army.

Vancouver would be an intriguing option: Misiewicz is about the right age and level of professional experience to slide in between Cannon and Sylvestre on the depth chart, depending on the salary.

I'm not sure Misiewicz would fit in well at Edmonton on account of Monsalve filling the role of "agile Canadian entering his prime" and Parker also competing for starting minutes if he can get healthy. Montreal, obviously, is a total no-go. Toronto would presumably slot him behind Frei and Kocic and I doubt they'd consider that worthwhile.

Ya it seems Vancouver would make most sense for Michal

MLS teams typically dont carry three keeper. Perhaps its not the best idea to use up cap space on three keepers when (as we know) only one keep can get on the pitch each game. Then there is the league pool of emergency reserve keepers (ie.: rent a goalie) that the league has in case of injury or other ad hoc absences. Thirdly, there is the option of calling up or signing a academy keeper (who will work for cheap) in a pinch if needed. hence, unless the Caps plan to release one of their existing keepers, I cant see them in the picture for Misiewicz.

Well maybe take a look at Vancouver's keeper situation, they carried 3 keepers last year Nolly, Cannon and Sylvestre... Nolly was traded = spot open.

Vancouver carried three keepers last year and, as Cannon is getting a little old and Sylvestre is a teenager coming off knee surgery, would be well-advised to do so again. It's not actually that unusual.

To add in ... unless I'm totally forgetting - 2010 TFC had Frei, Conway and Kocic - Kocic was loaned out to CSL so it's not a waste to have 3 keepers.

Considering there are 30 roster spots it's actually not a bad idea to carry 3 keepers, roughly half the league does (FC Dallas have 4). I think it depends on if you have two established keepers or not and your tolerance for the unknown (ie. quality of the pool keeper). For Vancouver it would be foolish to go into the season with a teenager as your backup keeper and rely on the league to bail you out in case of injury.
