Occean in starting line-up as usual, and scores in the 11th minute (putting his team up 1-0), playing against Hansa Rostock who is in danger of being relegated.

Friend starts on the bench for Frankfurt, also playing a bottom of the table team. Frankfurt up 1-0.

Scotland

St. Johnstone (Haber) 2-1 Hearts-FT

Haber gets the start for Johnstone good to see him starting to get into the lineup a bit more. Possible call up for Canada next round?

Possible of course but he's pretty far down the striker depth chart

English Premier League

Man ****ty wallops Norwich 5-1...Jackson on the bench for 90.

Blackburn beats Swansea 4-2...Hoilett goes 90, picks up a card, but no assists.

Championship

Burnley grabs a 2-1 win over West Ham on the road. Edgar goes 90. Burnley have moved into 10th place, a far cry from 21st, where they were before Edgar had his two goal game...

Bundesliga

VFB Stuttgart 2 - 2 FC Koln

Kevin McKenna was subbed into the game on 85 minutes for that scoring punch as Koln were down 2-1, and soon after Podolski tied it up. McKenna then reverted from a forward to defense and made 3 good defensive clearances in the final minute to preserve the draw.

Funny, it seems like years since I've heard of McKenna in an attacking role. He was quite potent in certain situations up front earlier in his career.

Apparently he has never liked playing as a striker. Strange as he seems to have a knack for scoring. I have always thought he was a better striker than defender.

SWITZERLAND - Challenge League (2)

Imhof played another 90 as St. Gallen drew Stade Nyonnais 2-2.

FRANCE - National League (3)

No Haidar Al-Shaibani for Nimes today, as they beat Luzenac 3-0.

This page from the Nimes site seems to suggest he is with the reserves this week: http://www.nimes-olympique.com/20111202314/news-pros/luzenac-nimes-le-groupe-des-crocs.html

Strange, as the club have been doing okay (fifth spot, five points out of an automatic promotion spot) with him as their starting keeper.

2. Bundesliga

Just to update Olivier Occean did score and play 85' for Greuther Fuerth. His team currently sit third in the 2.Bundesliga, so possible promotion into the Bundesliga for Occean? Obviously not close to the end of the season yet but something to think about. He now has 11 goals for Greuth Fuerth this season.

Which I think keeps him joint top of the scoring for the 2.Bundesliga

Issey goes 59 as Brisbane go down 2-0 in rather shocking fashion to Sydney. First loss for the club in 36 matches and first failure to score a goal in 36 matches as well. Apparently their best opportunity in this one came when Besart Berisha just failed to get on the end of a clever pass from Issey Nakajima-Farran.

To confirm Occean now has 10 goals not 11. Occean does sit in 1st place in "Scoring" which is a combined total of Goals and Assists. He has 10 goals plus 4 assists for 14 points.

Championship

David Edgar played the full 90 minutes for Burnley in their 2-1 win over West Ham. Burnley drew Norwich City in the FA Cup draw today setting up a possible Canadian matchup. (Jackson v. Edgar)
