LSM
What are the thoughts on awarding the winner of the Voyageurs Cup a patch to wear on their shirts? I was thinking along the lines of the one the winners of the Coppa Italia get (see below, Inter jersey with the circular Coppa Italia patch above the Nike swoosh as well as the Serie A Scudetto in the middle). I just threw something simple together. Red/white/red in a circle with a gold Maple Leaf over it. Alternatively, one with more of a V shape (for obvious reasons). And finally, because Whitecaps/Impact/Eddies supporters might not want red, an all gold/white version.
shermanator
I like the one on the right myself.
Raven
There wouldn't be enough room on a Montreal shirt ! Seriously, I like the idea, so a patch for the current winner? An idea to throw towards the CSA.
Grizzly
It is a good idea but that Coppa Italia patch is really ugly.
Admin
It should be a Voyageurs patch. The one on the right is pretty much the RPB logo isn't it?
Tuscan
I was going to say, did RPBs logo offer a bit of the inspiration behind those three? A patch is a great idea and one that should happen hopefully for next year. Could we suggest our Voyageurs patch minus the text in the outer circle? Would that be acceptible? LSM
It's funny, but having seen the RPB logo many a time it still didn't occur to me that I was basically doing the same thing! The V's logo would of course make a good choice.

Lord Bob
I thought there already was a logo associated with Toronto FC's Voyageur Cup titles.

Tuscan
I either don't recognize that from their jerseys, or else this is a joke that completely flew over my head lol.

A soccer example would be Canada's 1904 Olympic Gold medal in soccer. We know it to be a true and historical fact while most anyone outside Canada would refuse to recognize it. In this case Lord Bob is casting partisan aspersions on the titles won by TFC due to the influence of "Towrads" in the old boys network who are accused of rigging the competition to ensure the Reds win every year because the CSA "Sponsons" have decreed it must be so. Ah, nothing like explaining a joke to really suck the life out of it. Sorry, but I felt bad for Tuscan all confused and sad.

Juby
They also control the weather. They wish, you guys haven't seen me? I've been rain dancing my ass off for like the last year. On topic, although I agree with grizzly the coppa italia patch is ugly, when I saw the voyageurs logo I thought it might be a pain in the ass to stitch up (because of the maple leaf). Maybe something simple like the coppa italia one but with red instead of green in the middle or maybe make the white band in the middle kinda skinnyish to make it look original. I'm just picturing things in my head though so it could look gawd awfully ugly in real life.
TFCRegina
They should patch the cup to 1.01.
