Guest Ed
As some older folks from the old network54 days might recall, Nik is somewhat of a legend with St Johnstone, leading them to their one and only season in Europe. All the best to him, hope he can get the position. I guess he needs more experience, when up against geniuses like Tommy Soehn and Martin Rennie. BringBackTheBlizzard
Not true on the one and only European season bit. They were in the UEFA Cup under Willie Ormond in the early 70s as well, which was probably their historical highwater mark, for what it's worth, but Dasovic definitely made a big impact at St Johnstone in his time there so might have a chance of getting this job, if the chairman remembers him favourably from his time there as a player. Given they are an SPL team and are doing very well at the moment, the competition from out of work Scottish managers will be very fierce, however. Marc
I was perusing one of their messageboards and Nick certainly had a surprising amount of support. But with managers from across the lower leagues to draw on, I can't imagine that they'd hire Dasovic with his half-season of top-level club head coaching experience. He needs a former pal to take him on as assistant manager somewhere in Scotland, maybe to get the foot in the door Yallop never had (or hasn't had yet.) Then again, that didn't work out that well for Colin Miller in the end, anyway. A downside of coming home to finish your career is that it's likely harder to get back in over there, unlike Pesch. TFCRegina
Deserves a crack at a job as home to be honest. But that's another matter. I hope he gets the spot and would encourage him to apply.

JoshieScores
He's not the odds-on favorite to take the helm but 12 to 1 ain't bad. Go get em Nick! http://www.perthshireadvertiser.co.uk/perthshire-sport/stjohnstone/2011/10/21/del-backs-st-johnstone-players-to-kick-on-73103-29632669/
jordan
I would love to see him manage 4 times minimum plus possibility of a cup game.
BringBackTheBlizzard
Looks like a former Northern Ireland international called Steve Lomas got the job instead: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/15526952.stm
