pappinchris
I'm curious to see other peoples opinion on this. Which players from this years team have a chance at making the 2012 MLS roster ? Here is my prediction: Somewhat "sure" GK E. Bush (Probably as backup but still he had great year and costs less than Gaudette) CB/DM H. Camara (prob a sure thing since Marsh is already taking about where to put him in lineup) CF Gerba (injuries hurt him this year again... but if he is fit and has good camp he should at least make roster) Less "sure" SB P. Billy (not his best year but still has quality) WF/SM Le Gall (had good little year he had but not sure he can take physical nature of MLS) SM Di Lorenzo (certainly not his best year but I would imagine a couple "vets" making sqaud since I don't imagine Joey getting off of too much $) A. Lowery (Big boy who can take physical nature of MLS but probably bench player to come on if defending a lead) S. Gatti/Kremelmeyer (both versatile! and good hustle) Loan to buy? Pore, Ubi and Montano in the end all did well (especially Pore) I say it depends if their respective clubs offer us an option to buy at reasonable rate my $ is on getting Pore. Trident
I'd take ubi over pore if we can only have one.
Mr.Caca
Ubiparipovic wasn't loaned, so he definitely has a chance to make the team next year (even start?). I think Le Gall may not even be invited to the camp. He played his last game with the academy and he had a very difficult second half season. Also, Billy had an horrible year, I can see him being invited to the camp, but, as he counts as an international, I think his chances to make the MLS squad are quite slim. Keano
I think Ubi could be a very solid backup to a DP or near-DP level creative midfielder in the MLS. Not sure I would want to pin all our forward movement on him at that level. Bush and Camara could probably start in the MLS, especially if Camara was paired with another very experienced MLS quality CB. Gatti would be a solid bench player and hey, why not give Sebrango a season as a "talismanic presence" off the bench, I bet he could be effective for a season in that role. I was very disappointed in Billy. While I think he and DiLorenzo could probably be good bench players in the MLS I'm not sure it would be smart to use a roster spot on them given their age and citezenship. Wait- would DiLo count as a domestic? If Pore could be made permanent I'd do that, but I doubt Portland would do that after his performance late this season. Yes LeGall has great feet but poor strength (which won't fly in MLS) plus very poor decision making IMO.
Mr.Caca
Wait- would DiLo count as a domestic? Yeah, he now counts as a Canadian. Also, I agree with you Sebrango may have a place on the bench. Tactically and technically, he's still very skilled and he also seems to be immortal, which is a good quality. Keano
Thank god: TonyMarinaro Tony Marinaro Breaking News: Mtl Impact @impactmontreal have released DF Hicham Aâboubou, MF Antonio Ribeiro and MF Anthony Le Gall. You just never know how deluded they might be
shawn_strat
I hope Lowery sticks around, he had a great second half. He is a very gritty player, something useful in MLS
ThiKu
Honestly having only watched Impact v. Caps x2 in NCC I can't get into specifics but... Gerba - YES! The rest??? Pore/Montano - Only way they are getting them is if MLS let's them buy them from their respective parent clubs OR if they are left unprotected in the entry draft. The only youth I know of specifically is Agourram. And the hope is of course Crepeau recovers very well from the u17WC injury and continues his development....Would he be a u18 USSDA-eligible player? Maybe he can get some time in the MLS reserves league? Which must surely increase it's matches next year from the 10 this year? What remains to be seen is if they go the Whitecaps route and bring in a bunch of their NASL'ers, and go young young young (plus a few "studs") or if they go Portland/Seattle route and try to win immediately with athletic players. Ubiparipovic, Camara and Bush are the most likely to be able to play MLS. Gerba should get a chance on reputation though there is no indication if he can necessarily repeat two seasons ago. nolando
http://www.montrealgazette.com/sports/Impact+head+coach+Marsch+happy+with+evaluation+camp/5513943/story.html Marsch was asked if one week was enough time to evaluate the players and their potential to play in North America’s premier league. “You could argue that it is or that it isn’t,” the coach said. “But it’s a time restraint we have, and I don’t think for now it’s fair to bring guys in for certain situations for too long. “But we’ve given them a chance, given them some ideas to understand what we think is important. Then we throw them out there to see if some of that can come out with higher level of training, games and whatnot. “It can give you a window as to how they might be able to progress in the future,” Marsch added. “For the most part, I’ve watched all these players before they’ve come here, so it’s not like it’s the first time I’ve seen any of them. Now it’s trying to work closely with them and seeing how it goes.”

Kurosawa1555362267
It seems Jesse Marsch likes Eddy Sebrango a lot. I think both Ubi and Camara will get a shot, after that I think Gatti will have a chance because of the fact he is canadian and really versatile. As for the Goalkeeper I think that it all depends on who is our no1 GK.

Sebrango is the talisman you bring on for ten minutes for good luck.... and he'll probably score 5 goals like that Gatti is waaaay too useful not to have on the bench.
