I'm curious to know about the death of Canadian international from the 1990s Domenic Mobilio. It states that he died of a sudden heart attack in 2004 after playing a soccer game. Did this guy had a drug addiction problem that may have led to his heart attack?

There's no reason to assume something like that was involved, in my opinion. It doesn't happen very often but people in their 30s dying suddenly of a heart attack before or soon after a soccer game is something that does happen from time to time, unfortunately. A really good player who unfortunately probably won't feature in the history of Canadian soccer to the extent he might have because his career fell between the NASL and MLS eras when many people were not paying attention to the domestic pro scene. Will be remembered by those who followed the original CSL for the way Vic Rauter called his name after each goal he scored as much as anything else.

Now that they check for this much more closely than in the past we are seeing players having their careers cut short.

Look at the young player TFC signed recently, then the doctors here said he couldn't play.

It does happen, and I have unfortunately been present when it does.
