PJSweet
It was indeed a sad day when the Montreal Manic folded... I remember during their inception into the NASL they were averaging over 25,000 fans per game. In their home opener against the Cosmos, they sold-out the Olympic Stadium with over 65,000 fans in attendance.
kodiakTFC
I believe that game your speaking of is the highest attended soccer game in Canadian history.
Cyrus
No, I think the 1976 Olympic Gold Medal game between East Germany and Poland remains the highest attended game in Canadian history, at 72 000. http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/north_america/canada/quebec/montreal_olympic.shtml East Germany won.
