AvroArrow
With the weather playing havoc with another TFC game, I started to wonder why I've never seen a World Cup or Euro game cancelled due to thunderstorms. Is North America's weather just that much nastier or have I been watching the wrong games? Or is it just because southwestern Ontario gets messed up weather due to the Great Lakes, so soccer games have a higher risk of suffering the consequences? If so, I hope the storms only come through when TFC is losing.
Free kick
Just this summer. A u17 match involving Aus-Den at the world cup was cancelled due to lightening. Denmark was leading when it was cancelled but it had to be replayed entirely the next day and ended in draw, denmark was eliminated.
