nolando
New coach Martin Rennie, it seems, according to the twitter world. With three coaches in one season Caps have now reached TFC standards, although I like this move TBH.
A_Gagne
At least it's not a "hey guess what guys, we signed **********"... or something retarded like that.
youllneverwalkalone
Sounds like he'll finish the season in Carolina and join us for 2012. Great gamble imo. Could prove to be a top manager. Regardless, much better than Soehn.
marauder
And the Whitecaps would like to announce ********* as the new head coach! could you imagine? In all hosesty Rennie should be a decent coach, if they keep him around for a while he'll have enough time to mold the team. Its just a matter if they get him now or at the end of the season. Richard
Supposedly Rennie has been signed to a multi-year contract.
jpg75
Rennie starts as coach in 2012: http://www.tsn.ca/soccer/story/?id=373495 VANCOUVER -- The Vancouver Whitecaps will have a new head coach next season. The team announced Tuesday that Martin Rennie will take over the fledgling MLS side in 2012. He currently coaches the Carolina RailHawks of the North American Soccer League and will remain there for the rest of the season.
the biologist
Here's a guy I wanted in MTL. The difference is the base's already established in VAN, they can afford to wait till the end of the NASL season (he doesn't want to take the risk to miss the candy at the end after all his efforts). While NDS couldn't wait that long. Too bad. Rennie HAS coaching experience, a must IMO for an expension (and sophomore FTM) team. On the other hand, all we hear about in MTL are names of assistant coaches or TD (as a coach of course...). Great move Vancouver signing him to multi years if what Richard says is true.
