Sam
Last time I just walked to the Maro, but what's the best way to get there using public transit from the bus station, or from Union I assume...

From the Greyhound station? Take the TTC subway to St. Andrew and get on the King streetcar (westbound). Get off the streetcar at Fraser and walk south. Maro is at the corner of Fraser and Liberty (on the other side of the parking lot from Lamport Stadium). If you take the subway to the streetcar, make sure you grab a transfer from one of the automated machines BEFORE you get on the subway (ie. get a transfer from a station that is not St. Andrew). If next to the Eaton Centre (610 Bay Street), shouldn't I walk South to King Street and take the tramway there?
RS
If next to the Eaton Centre (610 Bay Street), shouldn't I walk South to King Street and take the tramway there? You could do that, or you can just hop on the subway from inside the Eaton Centre. It depends on how lazy you are.
Admin
It also depends on the time of day. If this is close to rush hour, don't take the street car at all. Take the subway to bloor, bloor west to Dufferin. then the Dufferin bus down. Get off at liberty and walk over. This will be potentially way faster. You might actually walk faster than the street car close to five. What time do you arrive?
JoshieScores
^ definitely take the Dufferin bus down... DO NOT take the streetcar from Union. See you V's at the game! I'll be bringing my whole family, including my 5 year old son for his first ever CMNT match!
theaub
Is it the same thing with the King streetcar near rush hour? Wondering if I should find an alternate route.

The streetcar may be slow and overcrowded but the Dufferin bus is usally slow, overcrowded, unreliable and a lot further to get to. I live near Dufferin and now avoid it at all costs. I loathe the 29 Dufferin bus with the fire of a thousand suns, but if it's before rush hour, it's ok.

If you are coming from south, yes streetcar is the only choice but from north, east or west, Dufferin bus via Dufferin subway station is the quickest way for sure.
