Richard
Thanks to PCSL club Victoria United for giving up some of their 2011 bookings at RAP to help the Highlanders out.

ted
Thanks to PCSL club Victoria United for giving up some of their 2011 bookings at RAP to help the Highlanders out. Kudos for both FO's for the latest in a long history (OK, since we were founded two years ago) of positive and productive relations between the clubs. The annual Highlanders v United friendly will once again showcase that relationship. This annual game BTW is the only time the Lake Side Buoys choose not to harrass the visiting keeper as many of us also support Victoria United. Blue and White Army
So what does this mean for the Highlanders? It means that rounders gets first bids on RAP dates, likely for all 27 of their home matches. My expectation is that VHFC will only get whatever is left over. The West Coast League (baseball) season starts in June (or very late May) and runs into the second week of August. The USL PDL season starts in May for most clubs, with some teams not playing home games until mid- or even late-May. So effectively this means that VHFC will have their pick of dates for whatever games they play in May, but come second to rounders for the remainder of the season. This season we've seen "weekend sandwiches" of VHFC Women on Friday, Men on Saturday, and Women again on Sunday. My assumption is this can only happen every other weekend, when the baseball team has an away series. The Highlanders Women are likely to be the biggest losers, as the men are given the plump VHFC dates.
