Canuck in Boston
I suspect they will bring in grass for this one. They chose a tough apponent for a tune up to the 07-June match with Canada. Should be a fun 3 days of soccer for me.
amacpher
Given that the last round of La Liga might be played on 11-12 June I think its kinda dumb that Spain chose to travel to North America at this time. A little consideration for the players, please!!
Jeremy
If the game against Brazil is any indication, they're going to get dominated.
Reality Bites
If the game against Brazil is any indication, they're going to get dominated. I don't recall that happening the last time USA and Spain played.
Sam
The States seem to have had a lot of success going up against the big teams... today's game being a perfect example (despite they were thoroughly out shot). I don't think they'll do too badly against Spain. Would be nice to see the States beat the World Champions and then lose to Canada 3 days later! CanadianSoccerFan
I think it's good for us. Hopefully they put all their focus and effort into that prestige game. With only two days rest between that game and our game it could leave them mentally/emotionally drained

With only two days rest between that game and our game it could leave them mentally/emotionally drained Not sure how prestigious a friendly between 2 non-rivals can be, but the USA will be entering the Gold Cup on a 2 game losing streak. That can't hurt Canada's chances.
CanadianSoccerFan
Do they really need to be rivals for the game to be prestigious? Spain's the best team in the world and the yanks get to play them at home. Friendly or not that's a big f***ing deal. Even Joe Biden said so;)
