TFCRegina
After a win against Belarus we would fall out of the top 10?? I don't get it. Based on "probable" results and removing the 2007 GC from the equation as they will be. http://www.football-rankings.info/2011/04/2014-fifa-world-cup-seeding-probable.html
jpg75
The draw will be held on July 30th: http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/news/_/id/6328191/2014-world-cup-qualifying-draw-set-july-30-rio-de-janeiro
Tuscan
So which rankings will be used if it's held on the 30th?
Blackdude
So which rankings will be used if it's held on the 30th? If there is one that puts T&T in 6th, you can be sure it will be this one.
loyola
Logic would lead me to believe that the July rankings will be used because they will include the Gold Cup results...but stranger things can happen. Will the CONCACAF preliminary round be played earlier because they need to cut down the numbers before they start with the first group stage. Will the CONCACAF preliminary round be played earlier because they need to cut down the numbers before they start with the first group stage. Stranger things have already happened. The 2006 qualifying draw was held in December of 2003. CONCACAF used the May 2003 rankings. Of course it is merely a coincidence that T&T failed to qualify for the Gold Cup that year... Right? Edit: Come to think of it. They did the same thing in 2007. Canada was 11th in May 2007, by July we were 4th. Into pot C we went...again.

nfitz
We need to kill it at the Gold CupIs it in our best interest to have no competive games this fall? Though how do they play the June 3 and June 7th preliminary matches if we don't have the draw until July? Yikes, that's only about 6-7 weeks away! CanadianSoccerFan
Is it in our best interest to have no competive games this fall? Being in the B pot is far more important than getting to perform 6 beatdowns on glorified men's league teams from the caribbean.

If we can't beat a pot B team, we're not going to Brazil. Last time, we couldn't beat a pot D team - and didn't have a single win. Bigger question though ... the schedule we've seen has these June 3 and June 7 preliminary matches. Yet none are scheduled. I don't see how this is going to work. Tuscan
Perhaps one of our Canadian Soccer News writers could do a little research for the rest of us to find out exactly which rankings FIFA is going to use for the WCQ format this time around. nfitz
Only in CONCACAF would pot D have only one team.
