jpg75
Coaching and other changes were officially announced: http://www.tsn.ca/soccer/story/?id=355085 "Dasovic, an assistant coach who took over the team in September when Predrag (Preki) Radosavljevic was fired, becomes the MLS team's North American scout based out of Vancouver. Brennan and assistant coach Danny Dichio are moving to TFC's academy where Dichio will run the senior team and Brennan the junior side." Brennan and Dichio will be working under Stuart Neely who is the Academy Director.
Alex D
The Dasovic move is strange. It seems like there was a technicality in his contract that they couldn't get rid of him but they still did not want him around the team.
masster
It seems very odd to have your head North American scout located in a city where players from that region are not even eligible for TFC due to MLS territorial restrictions.
BringBackTheBlizzard
Face saving way to pay out the balance of his contract, which they are legally on the hook for no matter what happens, while he looks for another coaching job elsewhere? Key snippet that would be interesting to find out is whether Tim Regan is still involved with TFC in a scouting capacity and if so who reports to who. That might help to answer some of the obvious questions about what is going on.
Ivan
^ I thought I read somewhere that Tim Regan was in Turkey with the team.

More importantly, to pay it out without severing it so that he gets hired right away by the Whitecaps?
BringBackTheBlizzard
Think the Whitecaps are overloaded with staff right now so there are unlikely to be openings there for him. Tom Anselmi made certain statements about Dasovic and Cochrane staying with the organization late last year so giving him a job title as he conducts a job hunt may suit both parties right now. Unnamed Trialist
Coke is cheaper in Vancouver. Seriously, sounds like he wanted to head back there and they have a contract they have to honour, so they pay him to harrass the Whitecaps academy. And he likes this idea, as if he does a good job, the Caps will hire him--maybe--to make him stop. MLS is the world's best league for dead wood. He's probably pro scouting...

Richard
Dasovic's home is Vancouver. That's where his family and friends are so it is no surprise that he has chosen to base himself in Vancouver. His job desription is North American scout so he will be travelling all over the place and it probably makes little difference whether he is in TO, Vancouver or Houston. paul-collins
Better transit to Vancouver's airport than Toronto's, that's for sure.
