Jeremy
http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/buddle-leaves-la-signs-german-side-ingolstadt He will be joining Lassonde's team in an effort to stay in the 2nd division for the 2011-2012 season. Apparently his pay is going to be double of what LA offered him...
Blue and White Army
That's a pretty sad indictment of MLS wages (or the lack thereof). Then again, how would the average European top-flight hockey salary be compared to North American D2 hockey?
Keegan
That's a pretty sad indictment of MLS wages (or the lack thereof). That makes it even sadder, European top flight hockey salaries are significantly higher than an average AHL salary
Obinna
Interesting move, kinda reminds me of the Kenny Cooper move. I thought that he would move to a B2 club in the promotion fight. IMO this move pushes him down their depth chart (unless he lights it up).
dbailey62
That makes it even sadder, European top flight hockey salaries are significantly higher than an average AHL salary It's old info but in 2004, the average AHL salary, according to the league, was $55k US. Back in 2008, the Hockey News printed the following for European hockey league average salaries: 1. Russia: $400,000 2. Sweden: $200,000 3. Switzerland: $170,000 4. Germany (DEL): $150,000 5. Czech Republic: $100,000 6. Slovakia: $75,000 7. Finland: $67,
Trident
Also, that's not considering the fact that the AHL is largely a youth waiting room, where they stay to crack the big league, whereas some of the big european leagues are filled with actual adult players, for the most part, not the kids in the AHL. jpoma
This move further solidifies MLS in the world pecking order. It's a shame they couldn't find a way to keep him in the league.
