nolando
http://sounders.sportspressnw.com/2010/12/09/sounders-to-add-swedish-midfielder/ "Friberg has been a starter and an important player for the four years he’s been with BF Hacken, which sits middle of the league. His imminent signing was helped when four key Sounders — Fredy Montero, Blaise Nkufo, Steve Zakuani and Jhon Kennedy Hurtado – recently received their U.S. Green Cards. That freed up the number of foreign players that Seattle could sign. Friberg will fall under the Sounders salary cap."
Obinna
Just read the article, sounds like a good signing. Wonder what his hit will be against the cap? He is young and a starter for a mid-table Swedish club, so I am guessing his hit would be somewhere in the 70,000 to 100,000 range.
masster
What is the process in getting a green card? How did Nkufo manage to get one so quickly?
nolando
What is the process in getting a green card? How did Nkufo manage to get one so quickly? A good bloody question. Montero hasn't been around long either, really. This changes things quickly MLS_wise, almost like Italy and their "naturalized foreigners" or whatever you would call the equivalent there. TheKottonmouthed1555362307
Does his wife help him in anyway being from North America, I know she lives in Vancouver, but maybe she is an American.
Slamo
What is the process in getting a green card? How did Nkufo manage to get one so quickly? I believe it is the Martina Navaratolova rule.
