jonny63
Juby
hopefully it works out, Algeria's a good opponent for us I'd say.
ray
If I'm reading the text correctly Canada had wanted the Algeria friendly for March 29 in a European country because Canada will be on "tour" there. (So possibly another friendly?) But Algeria are playing a ACN qualifier on March 27th at home against Morocco. So Canada my have to take a March 30th date if they want to play Algeria. It looks like the window for FIFA internationals is March 25 to 29th so it might rule out Algeria. Keep trying, CSA!
Obinna
Good for the CSA at least they are trying. I would like us to play Algeria and strangely enough I was thinking about them as a possible opponent the other day.

Canada will be "on tour" in Europe during those dates. But I'm not sure those informations are correct, maybe it's just a request from the CSA to play the game in Europe to ease the travel. IMO, playing in Algeria would be better in term of playing in a tough place but playing in Europe would help our chances to get a result. Anyways, good to see we are trying to play some games in March. I also hope to hear about a January friendly.
nolando
Anyways, good to see we are trying to play some games in March. I also hope to hear about a January friendly. I agree, especially after not having on in November, but since we are only a few weeks from January, I kinda think it won't happen. We'll probably have the camp alongside a token friendly against a semi-pro local side. Meh.
Edgar
As far as I know, they're looking for only one friendly. Bulgaria and Montenegro were also contacted but they haven't replied yet.

Interesting. I assume you're talking about the March FIFA dates. Do you know anything about a possible January friendly?

Edgar
Interesting. I assume you're talking about the March FIFA dates. Do you know anything about a possible January friendly? I only know they are looking at playing against a Caribbean opponent in 2011.
Grizzly
Oh please not Algeria.. we won't hear the end of it in Montreal, especially if they beat us. If we win we should get a huge convoy of cars flying Canadian flags out the window and continually honking their horns and drive through Montreal north!
