nolando
What's his status with MLS? Is it the same as with previous guys who wanted to be cut loose - he has to be sold by the league at a value that they think is appropriate? Might be tough to put a value on a guy like him, since many English and European clubs are often looking for bargains abroad, tending to undervalue, while MLS might be overvalueing, creating the possibility of a mini-Donovan situation. Where do people think he could/should land if he does go? If Straith, Edgar, de Jong aren't good enough to start at two of the big second tier leagues (by their managers' current estimations, at least), I wonder where Nana could go and reasonably expect to play, while still taking a leap to a better league? Last thing we need is yet another starter converted into a benchwarmer. I could see him in Scotland or Denmark or Belgium, for instance but wonder if the move would be more of a sideways one in some respects. Of course it would depend on the size and quality of the club, but you get the point. Is he better of staying in MLS for the time being?

If we could pick completely hypothetically, I'd like to see him in the segunda division in spain, It's hard to predict but i'd imagine he'd be the third best center back on quite a few squads (probably younger then the better two) and would be in a great position to keep improving towards his maximum potential. Also, doesn't spain allow players from some african nations play pretty much as freely as eu nationals(maybe not quite that easy but theirs some rule about this)? I think ghana is one of them too so his dual citizenship would come in handy there. France is also fairly liberal with their foreign national spots I beleive Realistically though i always imagined the english squads have a bit of an edge keeping track of us (plus no language barriers for him either) so I wouldn't be surprised if he turned up in the uk. edit: I had written here about selling him to beat him to moving on to a better league and then realized his contract is up, so my warnings to cash in while you can were erroneous
BringBackTheBlizzard
What's his status with MLS? I think based on comments made at the press-conference immediately after the season ended that he was waiting for an option to be picked up by TFC and wasn't expecting to be going anywhere in 2011. Might be worth checking through old Toronto FC TV clips for that. Beyond that only a few clubs in Scotland, Denmark or Belgium represent a step up in quality from being at TFC. In a Scottish context even the top Scottish players appear to be gravitating more and more towards England these days. The finances within the European game are increasingly focused on a handful of leagues in the larger countries and that's where I suspect Attakora will want to be when he eventually does move although getting a work permit might be tricky in a British context. Holland would probably be the best bet amongst the smaller countries.
