Razcle
The league told the Whitecaps the 22-year-old former Wake Forest star must participate in the MLS SuperDraft or a weighted lottery before he can play for any MLS team. Arnoux bypassed MLS in 2009 to sign with English Premier League side Everton and played one season with that club's reserve squad before signing with Vancouver this summer. The Whitecaps signed Arnoux to a USSF D-2 contract and gave him a 2011 deal, which needed MLS approval. The team felt it could sign him to a 2011 contract because he was part of its 2010 roster but after more than two months of wrangling, the league disagreed. http://www.vancouversun.com/sports/rejects+Arnoux+deal+with+Caps/3781032/story.html
tmcmurph
Not sure if I'd spend an allocation on him. He played better later on but nothing exceptional. He seemed to be typical North American type player, lots of running but average touch. The Caps will take Salgado first overall so I don't know where that leaves Arnoux. TheKottonmouthed1555362307
Yeah, wasn't super impressed by him, but to be fair he didn't get a whole lot of time.
Tuscan
That's tough, though. He's an asset on the club's books, so I hope MLS compensates the Caps for losing him. If they don't I'd raise a big stink and make the league look as poor as it can sometimes be.
Richard
I think the Whitecaps were well aware all along that they were taking a risk.

It's nice to see the effort.

It's nice to see the effort. He's still under contract for 2011, he just can't play in the MLS for the Caps. He is currently on the PDL roster and I imagine they will try to find him a loan before they'd release him. Hell, they got $250,000 for Marcus...maybe they can do similar for Cody.
