The North End loan star has been in a state of limbo ever since learning of the news last weekend that his parent club Barnsley planned on recalling him. An earlier deal to keep the striker at Deepdale fell through last week and it appeared Hume was destined to return to Yorkshire – just 42 days into his 93-day loan agreement.
