El Hombre
Here is where the Holiday Card situation now stands (Razcle, please correct me if I am wrong): 1) A design has been made. 2) Razcle will be having all the cards made and sending packages out to the volunteers for them to send to their regions. Action Item: Razcle needs help in estimating how many cards need to be made 3) The following regions have volunteers: - UK (Razcle) - Germany, Belgium, Holland (Saviola7) - MLS and USSF Div. 2 (Sam) - Finland, Norway, Denmark, Turkey, Lithuania, Switzerland (Jeremy) (the last three are up for grabs if someone wants them). Action Item: Razcle needs volunteers for the following regions: - Portugal - Spain - Italy - Poland - France - Chile - Greece - Mexico - Unattached Canadians (we must find home addresses) - Other (Women's, Asia...) Is that an accurate account of where things stand? We have two action items that need volunteers. Please step up.
Razcle
Thanks for the summation. The only other item is making a list of who we should be sending cards to. This will tell me how many to order.
ted
I may be missing something but in the past hasn't the CSA provided addresses for national team players or at least their agents?
jpg75
There are no Canadians in Chile. Here's the address for Isidro Sanchez - Puebla Futbol Club: Blvd. Capitán Carlos Camacho Espíritu 1477 Col. Universidades. Puebla, Pue., Mexico. Here's the address for the Fernandez brothers - Santa Pola Club de Futbol: Av. Albacete, 10 003130 SANTA POLA (ALICANTE)
Guest Doyle
As a last resort, if you just mail the card to the club (e.g., Norwich City for Simeon Jackson) to the player's attention, won't it likely find its way into his hands? It may get opened first, but still.
Sam
Last year I sent all the MLS and USSF Div-2 ones to the clubs.... Anyways I'm willing to take another European region if no one steps up.

Razcle
115 Cards purchased. CSA agreed to send the cards out for us since they would not disclose the personal adresses of the players (understandable). This is a nice gesture from them as long as they get the job done. ******What I need is for V's to write personal messages for players they have followed and feel comfortable writing to. Myself and the GF will hand bomb in all of the messages and walk the sealed envelopes to the CSA for delivery. Half of the players are spoken for at this moment and I need people to speak for the other half. Even if it is only for one or 2 players. I do believe that a personal message will make this come across as a truely genuine project from genuine supporters of our national teams. There is also ~15 cards available for players who you think we should send them to. Please HELP. I would like to get this out the door ASAP for obvious reasons POST 2 http://www.cansoc.org/showthread.php?40881-2010-Voyageurs-Christmas-Card-Thread

Guest Ed
As my old man grew up not far away on Bell St. in the 30's/40's, I think a burning bag of dog **** left on the porch at 36 Metcalfe St. would be an appropriate greeting card for Mr Maestracci.
