CanadianSoccerFan
According to ESPN Deportes the yanks are going to play Mexico on the February 9th international date in Green Bay....... Is it just me or is this going a bit overboard? Green Bay is extremely cold and temperatures can occasionally drop into the realm of -25 that time of year. jpg75
That sounds completely ridiculous. First of all, how many folks in Northern Wisconsin are going to go out and watch a USMNT friendly in the middle of February? Second, unless the Mexicans are trying to prepare for a cold weather game in the short term i don't think this really helps them at all and is a likely loss of FIFA points for them. Seems like everybody suffers here - the fans and players. I could maybe understand the thinking behind it if the game meant something, but the result means nothing. Even the bragging rights for the USA, should they win, would be diminished if it occurs in laughable playing conditions.
Sam
There is no Feb.12 international date? There are league games that weekend, the break is just a midweek one so most of the games like our Greece game is on the 9th.
