jedinathan
Agreed. Someone is keeping the wikipedia page very up to date though, which is how I keep track. I'm hoping that they haven't changed it too much in anticipation of a relaunch of the webpage soon. Hopefully one of the big announcements this week. That's me that has been trying to update the FC Edmonton roster. Does anyone know what Will Beaugé, Jerome Baker, Eduardo Denali and Shaun Pejic's statues are? ESG Shawn
Looks like Eddy Sidra has joined the club. Great pickup. Two late signings were added to the squads travel list. One player, Edmontonian Eddy Sidra, who played for Energie Cottbus’ youth team and Canada’s U-19 and U-23 National Teams. And Assistant Coach, Edwin Petersen, to help Coach Sinkgraven and Assistant Coach Dave Randall on the bench. FC Edmonton signed the Dutchman away from the U-15 Oranje program. http://www.fcedmonton.com/news/2011-04-02/Diary%20from%20the%20Road%20%E2%80%94%20Day%

James
Sidra is a huge signing. It should make the TFC match that much more fun. The other signings are pretty strong too but getting Eddie is pretty "Wow". Are there any other players that TFC shafted that wouldn't mind a bit of revenge? Maybe NY could loan out DDR for a game or two... Ha!

I think Sidra could be the face of the team this year. Good for him and FCE. Jason
Soccerpro
Kyle Porter and Adrian Leroy are now trialing with the team in Florida. As a Canadian supporter, I'm pulling for this team like no other http://www.fcedmonton.com/news/2011-04-03/Diary%20from%20the%20Road%20—%20Day%
James
Check out Sandor's interview with Sidra and more TFC player hijinks here... 11.ca He's got another bit on Begovic's philanthropic ways and a bunch of other EFC stuff... Gian-Luca
The Sidra interview explains much. When I had a chance to speak with him privately at the National Team jersey unveiling he was fully expecting that he would be playing for TFC in the upcoming season - not he was expecting to go on trial, but had already had it and was going to be signed for the upcoming season. Like Ornoch and Bas Ent, another casualty of the changeover in management and the interim management promising things that it could not deliver. Glad to see he's got a new club. Soccerpro
How do people think FC Edmonton will do this year? Are they competitive? I don't know much about this league but I note their opening day opposition have several ex MLS'ers.
James
I'm just happy that this latest effort is professionally run. I'd be just thrilled with anything close to a .500 season. We seem to have had a head start in prepping this season compared to other NASL teams and signings like Sidra won't hurt either. I love that we have a such a strong Canadian presence and many of them are going to be key players(like Sidra, Saiko, Lam and Craig among others...) It looks good and win or lose, I'll be happy out of the gate. Montreal and Puerto Rico look to be the contenders. Experience is huge. How do people think FC Edmonton will do this year? alberta white
I don't so much worry about the quality of the play as much as I do the NASL's ability to Put Butts on bleachers.

strobe_z
I'm not really debating that... I'm just quoting Randy's tweet: "@Lord_Bob I don't know about that but we will see. its time to go back to europe I think" It's intriguing though...
