Keegan
Any updates on Michael Nonni or any of our other canucks in the NCAA? It seems now that Teal is in MLS no one is giving much attention to our university prospects.

He played 90 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Duke on September 25 - " Kyle Bekker also nearly scored twice. The 5-foot-9, 160-pound product of Oakville, Ontario, connected with Boston College's first shot off the post in the ninth minute. Bekker later nearly beat Belshaw with a dangerous shot that missed by the far post in the 74th minute." On September 28 Bekker played against Connecticut in a 2-0 loss. No Goodridge for Connecticut -"Sophomore midfielder Kyle Bekker notched a team-high four shots and nearly missed netting his second goal of the season in the 78th minute with a left-footed strike from 26 yards out that sailed just high. On October 1 he played another 90 minutes in midfield in a 4-3 win over NC State. Next up is Clemson on friday.

JohnnyBlueNose
UAB (alabama at birmingham) has always had a tradition of recruiting Canadians. They're in one of the toughest conference in the country ( conference usa ) currently, they have 3 canadians. Curtis Ushedo - senior defender, team captain. 2 goals so far this year Babayele Sodade - junior forward, 6 goals so far Flo Liu - sophmore defender, 4 assists looks like they're doing well as UAB has been ranked in several polls

Keegan
allando is at avon old farms school in conneticut. it looks like they have played about 4-5 games and he already has at least two goals. http://www.avonoldfarms.com/page.cfm?p=94&teamID=7&display=Schedule I see only 3 goals so far... I wonder if he is just biding his time waiting to sign for UCONN? For a guy who has played a match (or more?) for TFC, scored 7 goals iin the CSL and has impressed people enough to be in the national program you'd expect more. Interesting to see that the Stony Brook and UNC players came from Champlain Saint Lambert College - They must have an "in" at these programs which will help filter more QC players in the NCAA

BackAgain
Another noteable player in the NCAA is Jelani Smith, Florida Gulf Coast University. He was apart of the U-20 National Team that was in Netherlands early in the year. This team is ranked No.23 in the Nation with Wins over, Drexel, Ohio State, and USF for some of the noteables. This team also ranks 12th in RPI. There a young team, 4th year as a program, so they aren't eligible for the tournament as yet. However they last weekend clinched the Atlantic Sun conference tittle. So he's another promising youth to watch. He was also placed 14th in the conference for "Players to watch list" http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college-soccer/college-conference-top- 20/men

jpg75
Should we not bother trying to recruit dual citizens because we're worried those players will be stolen away from us? It reminds me of a story in one of the interviews for the documentary film "American Pimp", one of the pimps retells the story how one of his colleagues was looking to expand from the East coast out to the West and brought out his stable of Ho's with him to open up the business. Well, a bunch of West Coast pimps ended up stealing all his Ho's from him and the pimp had to go back out East with his tail between his legs....until a week later when he came back out West to everyone's surprise with a whole new stable of better Ho's and earned the respect of his West Coast brethren. We need to be that Pimp.
deschamp86
It was more of a joke after all the guys we lost this week (Bunbury, Lavery, to some extent White). But I gotta say that's the strangest analogy I've heard on these boards. But I'll just go with it.
