TFCRegina
It's out of our hands, unfortunately. He'll make the choice. I wish he'd play for his country and the country his father represented, but really we have no control over the situation. It just sucks.
BrennanFan
Losing this one would really hurt me. It would hurt me bad. Worse than the others. Do the right thing Teal.
Lennie
It certainly would be nice to have the son of a famous Canadian player, challenge his father's records as a Canadian!! I echo BF: "Do the right thing Teal".

paul-collins
As the blurb says, he's represented Canada in the junior stables, so at least there's some wiggle room as to whether he sees himself as American or Canadian...
Free kick
Why? Isn't this basically an American kid with a Canadian father? It would hurt because he plays an offensive role. Overall, I dont know if it would hurt more than the others but it just seems like every player that we lose or risk losing plays a role that we desparately need for our MNT. Their presence would defintely upgrade our chances of success and success for themselves as internationals. Like most of the well publicized other cases, these are players who could step right into the starting lineup for Canada. Thats what hurts. Take the position of central defense, for example, we do have some depth and quality there but we have not lost any quality defenders.

Bunbury is not even a substitute if our best 18 are called based on his current level of play. What would get him a call up is his youth and potential. Him not playing for Canada wouldn't hurt us right now but it might hurt us in the future depending on how he develops. As far as who he should play for, I think he is a case of someone who could legitimately play for either Canada or the US. Born in Canada but raised in the US with a Canadian father and American mother.
Razcle
^ You are exactly right. At this point he offers little value to the Canadian Squad other than depth and a famous last name. Time will tell whether his development could afford him a place in our squad (or even the Yank's squad). I hope for the best as always, but it would not personally sting very much if he decided against us ATM. However, we still need to ensure he is on our christmas card list as a potential Canadian. You never know what pure generosity could spawn.
