Oldtimer
So we are nearing the end of a fourth season of futility. It's time to start thinking about what pressure we can exert on MLSE to make a change in the GM department. Constantly revolving roster (75+ players for TFC in 4 years) Four coaches in four years Poor treatment (allegedly) of players who have left A dismal record on the road Players, some who are quite talented, assembled without regard for how well they work together Poor scouting outside of MLS/NCAA Great drafting, but then these players are traded away for nothing, cut, or traded for poorer players I see interest declining in the club, it's getting harder and harder to sell (or even give away) tickets The atmosphere is getting worse each season It's time for a change of GMs. Those of us here who are TFC fans need to demand that Mo Must Go! (Whitecaps and Impact fans should conversely demand that he stay)
El Hombre
Didn't he say himself that he'd be gone if they missed the playoffs? I see interest declining in the club, it's getting harder and harder to sell (or even give away) tickets The atmosphere is getting worse each season And that's the saddest thing. Imagine what could've been if they had some success earlier in their history.
narduch
Mo Johnston should have been fired mid-way through the 2008 season after the Voyageur's Cup result. I'm amazed that he's still here now. It was laughable that he managed to stick around after the NYRB debacle last year. But now he will probably be sacrificed during the season ticket renewal period to show the fans that TFC FO really cares about winning.
TheKottonmouthed1555362307
Yeah, that's hard to believe the atmosphere is dying there a little bit. The first 2 season were so lively. That being said, yes Mo needs to go, he needed to go last season.
Admin
Actually the declining interest is helping the supporters groups. They are coordinating better and louder than ever before. 118 if you put in a capo stand could become a supporters group, 111 participates with 112, and 127 with NEE are doing all sorts of good things. ag futbol
It really is laughable how he's hung on for this long. Surely they will get the message this season if we miss the playoffs as the *new* factor is wearing off now it's time to deliver a quality product. To MLSE's credit they've invested a lot in TFC, but perhaps the second biggest decision they made (after a stadium) was to put the wrong person in charge. To compound that, they've continuously been blind to his shortcomings by extending his contract. Maybe they should have hired a consultant who actually knows the game to review his performance after years 1 and 2. That would have easily enlightened them to how bad things were. Once they clear the deck they really need to shake their heads about how they let it get this bad. This isn't just about Johnston, it's about the people above him who seem to make a large number of poor hiring decisions and take much too long to correct them. jpoma
I see interest declining in the club, it's getting harder and harder to sell (or even give away) tickets The atmosphere is getting worse each season I know TV is not always the best indicator, but it does look like the stand numbers are thinning out. Personally, I think TFC prices are ridiculous especially considering the product level, and I think that and not winning are starting to take its toll. That being said, if you're looking to give tickets away, I'll take them
guppy
I see interest declining in the club, it's getting harder and harder to sell (or even give away) tickets The atmosphere is getting worse each season My interest in them is certainly waning... or should I say my interest in watching them is waning. Not only it's 4 yrs of similar seasons, but their style of play has gone from Carver's comedy of errors to Preki's grinder-rama. Looking forward to the other Cdn teams joining the league and showing the way. Should listen to the Americans.. they know the league and the people in it. When Mo was hired they said he wasn't any good. When Preki was hired they said his team's are boring, and he plays favorites.. Sure, he achieved some success defensely, but he disabled what offense they had to do it.
Trillium
Mo needs to stay.... when Montreal and Vancouverr come in along with Portland Mo will show just how good a Manager he is. He has four years of experience knows the lower levels of pro soccer in Ireland and Scotland as well as what is going on in South America especially in Brasil. Mo will come into his own when the new teams arrive and he starts to trade for USL div 2 players to move to Toronto from the Whitecaps and Impact. I think TFC is on the cusp of a new era under Mo... your very very lucky to have him.
CanadasBest
I heard Dale Mitchell is still looking for a job.
TheKottonmouthed1555362307
Maybe Jim Brennan is ready. I'm sure it only took a day or two for Mo to honestly him teach him everything he's down successfully, so far. Too much time under Mo could tarnish him anyways,

BringBackTheBlizzard
Pat Ercoli of the Rochester Rhinos might be worth a look. From Toronto originally and has plenty of experience as a player, coach and GM in North American soccer.
Grizzly
It's time for a change of GMs. Those of us here who are TFC fans need to demand that Mo Must Go! (Whitecaps and Impact fans should conversely demand that he stay) I think I have been fairly consistent over the past few years in demanding that he stay! Mo Johnston = TFC Manager For Life! shawn_strat
Be careful, MLSE has a history of not caring if their teams win, as long as money is made. Year after year of losing will change nothing, it's attendance that will determine if changes are made. The Maple laughs have been terrible forever, but make a ton of money.
