Gian-Luca
On the CSA webpage there's an article about the camp first practice being held yesterday with a picture of Stalteri and Hume. I'm not sure if it's a picture taken yesterday or if it's an old one. Looks like a new pic to me.
Grizzly
The transfer deadline in Germany has passed and players like Stalteri who are under contract are only able to transfer to other countries at this point. Stalteri apparently had a solid offer that fell through at the last minute though no team is mentioned.

Guest Ed
As I just posted in the Peru game thread, Marcel de Jong is back in Augsburg, was checked out by their medical staff and given the green light to resume training. No broken shoulder.
Guest Ed
Long interview in German with OO: http://www.fr-online.de/sport/-ich-wollte-in-ein-land-mit-fussball-tradition-/-/1472784/4619720/-/index.html I won't bother with a full translation but not much news here. His family (wife and two young children) are settled nicely in Offenbach. Olivier described how he ended up in Europe (remember the botched NY/NJ Metrostars Euro camp?), how his last season in Norway was not very much fun and how he is enjoying his time in Germany (and learning Deutsch - to make it 5 languages he knows - he already speaks English, French, Creole and Norwegian). Dismisses the obligatory "did you play hockey?" question citing his Caribbean roots and that he was also very good in basketball but felt his scholarship opportunities in the US were better with soccer. An excellent ambassador for our game I would say.
closetboostie
As I just posted in the Peru game thread, Marcel de Jong is back in Augsburg, was checked out by their medical staff and given the green light to resume training. No broken shoulder. That's really good news. Hate to see any Canadian get hurt, but especially when called up on international duty. Couple that with a new club and just coming off an injury, really important that it wasn't too serious.
