gator
It would be great to have a march as good as the Jamaica match!
nfitz
I would think subway to Dufferin, then the Dufferin street car south.Umm ... that's a bus on Dufferin. Bathurst streetcar may be a better choice with the construction at Dufferin/Queen. Ossington bus might be the best choice, particularly if you are heading to Maro, as it will get you to the corner of Atlantic and Liberty. The EX will be in full swing on Saturday, so parking, buses and streetcars will be very full ... though perhaps not as bad heading south from Bloor by 5 pm. Though if coming from Scarborough, I'd take the GO Train which runs hourly (heck I DO take the GO Train). With a 5:30 start, you can arrive on train arriving from Scarborough at 4:49 pm, and depart on the 8 pm train. There's some extra trains running for the CNE, but they don't help unless you arrive early for the pre-game. The schedule for that weekend is http://www.gotransit.com/public/en/news/Table10CNE2010.pdf
Admin
I live at queen and dufferin. DO NOT!!!!! Take the street car during the Ex/airshow. You will seriously regret it. You may even want to take the Ossington bus down and walk over. Queen/King ect will be a gong show and the street car will be stuck in it. Take the subway over to Dufferin and the bus down. JamboAl
Thanks for the advice, Jaime. I usually take the streetcar to BMO or Shoeless Joe's for TFC games so Dufferin bus it will be.
Macksam
If I'm at Union, what would be the best Street Car to take in order to get to Maro?
RS
If I'm at Union, what would be the best Street Car to take in order to get to Maro? The Lakeshore GO train westbound.
Admin
The Lakeshore GO train westbound. But it really would be. If the timing is right, and you have to make sure it stops at exhibition. Union -> Exhibition by Go = 4 minutes. Streetcar could be an 45+
Jeremy
I need a name and a price for the Vs scarf! Will you be at Maro, scarf person?
nfitz
If I'm at Union, what would be the best Street Car to take in order to get to Maro?Walk to King and take the King car to uh, Joe Schuster Way (across from Lamport Stadium) and walk down Fraser about 350 metres to Maro. Streetcar shouldn't take more than 15 minutes. GO Train is great ... but only runs once an hour (all trains should stop at the EX on a Saturday). Bathurst Streetcar get's stuck in traffic trying to turn right at Fleet with all the traffic trying to turn left on Lakeshore. And the line-ups at the Harbourfront Car at Union are quite long on a holiday weekend, or during tourist season.
CanadianFootballer
Quick question; if the CNE is going to on, how do we get to BMO field without paying admission?
marktci
Quick question; if the CNE is going to on, how do we get to BMO field without paying admission? Your game ticket will give you admission to the CNE grounds.
Canuck in Boston
Wow. Looks fancy. Anything going on the Friday before? I'll be in town a day early. Any other out-of-towners going to be there Friday night? Are you choosing the same accommodations as in 2008 for the Jamaica match?
El Hombre
Are you choosing the same accommodations as in 2008 for the Jamaica match? While I enjoyed the closet-like room, the bed bugs have forced me to find a new hotel. Of course, now I hear that bed bugs are all over TO now. Canuck in Boston
Ah c'mon, you said it only itched like crazy for a short time. So they shouldnt be as much an issue this time? On that note, I think I will stay with my sister-in-law if I can get my flight to Amsterdam switched.
