nolando
Rumours are swirling about after Hume was left out of Barnsley's match altogether today: http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=50&fid=41&sty=2&act=1&mid=2120542780 They have brought in two new strikers and the manager's been cleared to add one more this week - perhaps the writing is finally on the wall. Pity but maybe he needs a fresh start, maybe even out of the Champiosnship. Scotland?

mirokliment@shaw.ca
Is he still overweight? WOW a quote from their fan web site...: Starting to think if he's got a future at the club? Might be injured or something, but if not then its weird to leave him out the squad. probably biggest waste of money we've ever spent anyway, we'll probably released him at end of the season. SthMelbRed
You'd think the tool who posted that comment on the Barnsley fan site would realize that Hume's production for them has been hampered by a minor injury he suffered in a South Yorkshire derby a couple of years ago. But nearly dying due to a fractured skull isn't more important than the fee that was paid for him, right?

Hey I agree with you on that, that was absolutely awful...I am glad he is up and running...The "sob":) scored on the Czechs in Doha in 2003 in the U-20's... nolando
Hume to PNE for £200,000?? Seems like peanuts to me. http://www.thestar.co.uk/reds/Reds-striker-on-verge-of.6492700.jp http://www.pne-online.net/forum/showthread.php?56516-Iain-Hume one Barnsley fan's view, "Im a Barnsley fan, and just thought that i'd pass on any info that you may want. Hume is a decent championship striker, nothing more than a S****horpe/Millwall level team player. He isn't quick and not the best finisher. He can take a good corner, but that is about it really. He isn't that fittest of players, and will only give you 70mins a match really."
gator
Hope it works out for Iain, it's been a tough road back for him! Maybe a move to MLS would be in order? I just get this feeling that circumstances and managers not utilizing him properly have meant we've never seen the best of him in a Canada shirt! jpg75
His lack of technique/first touch has been his undoing at the international level, he just can't keep ball possession and that kills us in CONCACAF.

nolando
Robins: No bids for Hume Thu, 26 Aug 15:43:31 2010 Barnsley boss Mark Robins insists the club have yet to receive an offer for striker Iain Hume. Robins made Hume available for loan this week as he is unable to guarantee the 26-year-old regular first-team football. Preston have been linked with a move for Hume but Robins revealed there is no offer on the table. "I have had a conversation or two with clubs about Iain Hume but so far nothing has happened," Robins told the club's official website. "We will not rush into anything until something happens that is right for all parties. "If it doesn't then Iain will stay with us and continue to work very hard." http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/26082010/63/robins-bids-hume.html
