You have some wrong information, Stefan Cebara plays for the first team of Zalaegerszegi TE which is in (NB1) hungarian first division, and not the second team, they are currently second in the league and fighting for a spot in either champions league, or europe. Stefan made his club debut vs Vasas in the Hungarian cup, as a starter, and made his season debut vs champions league team, now liga europa team Debrecen two days ago. He is only 19 years old, and is one of Canadas brightest talents, he also has a croatian papers, so we will have to see what he will do when it comes to international play.

You seem to know a lot about him, do you know what hes thinking internationally?

I can't source this too well but according to wikipedia and transfermarkt.it, Fabijan Knezevic - GK - 04/12/84 is playing for HNK Primorac Biograd na Moru in the croatian third division south

Stephen Kanu Famewo - 12/30/83 - midfielder for SV Meppen 1912 in Germany

he's apparently a nigerian with canadian citizenship but I don't think he's been capped.

no problem, i knew him personally when he lived in windsor and still talk to his parents every once in a while. he has always been on the first team, and has been bench for almost every game since he has been thier, making his debut last week. he signed a 4 year profesional contract in september, which was already 4 or 5 games into the season. the players who do not get alot of minutes or do no not enter the game play a game with the second team the next day for extra training, so I understand why you would think that. I also do not know what hes thinking for international play.

cheers

^ Wow, that's quite a step up for Ricketts. Hopefully he can make an impact.

I was wondering if he has ever been called up for the CMNT. His stats lead me to believe he has a decent scoring touch (MYPA 38 apps- 9 goals), and since canada has a short supply of strikers, he seems like a decent fit.

No senior caps as yet. 5 at U-23 and 10 at the U-20 level. Interestingly, he has 7 goals in those 15 matches, but only scored in 3 separate matches (one 3-goal and two 2-goal matches).

Tossaint Ricketts will move to FC Politechnica Timisoara

small_20novricketts.JPG

This is very impressive as Timisoara is currently 3rd, one spot away from a Champions League berth. If he starts to get minutes this season, we have to call him up against Greece. This is kinda weird as Jonke impressed me more in Finland this year. Hopefully he too can land in a better league this off season. Anyway, good luck to Tosaint!

His brace against Timisoara:

Great news if he can get minutes in Romania! But if not and he is set to become another Canadian rotting on a good clubs bench then it is a bad move. At least he'll get to develop in a good pro environment with better facilities Im guessing. Also looking at that video he looks like a much better player it'll be interesting to see how far he's come.

He got called up to the Cyprus game last year, but did not appear.

Tweet from John Molinaro of CBC about Ugo Ihemelu and the CMNT.

"At BMO right now. interesting comments from FC Dallas' Ugo Ihemelu about playing for Canada. Said technical issues still to overcome."

From this sounds like he may still have interest in Canada. Where would he rank on the depth chart for the backline?

Wiki Profile

Unless he gets traded to one of the Canadian team he'll likely never meet the residency requirements to play for us.

I wonder if he gets left unprotected in the expanison draft :D.

I am not sure if it is worth the effort it would just be a depth move, I don't think he would start.

he's also apparently quite fast.

I think this is a great move if he can make it work, I'm not very up to date on poli timisoara but their well backed and have good players like dan alexa and have developed guys like gabriel torje and if I recall correctly it's probably one of the best organizations overall in romania (top dogs aside).
